If BK is 53, that makes Ford 51.

Is THAT pic on the left really Christine Blasey Ford?

...because that woman looks much much older than 51. I can't think of any woman that age that I know that looks that old and wrinkled.

Suspected an actress was used today.

Feinsteins path to power...paved by assassinations:

On November 27, 1978, Moscone and supervisor Harvey Milk were assassinated by a rival politician, Dan White, who had resigned from the Board of Supervisors two weeks earlier.

Feinstein was in City Hall at the time of the shootings and discovered Milk's body after hearing the shots. Later that day Feinstein announced the assassinations to the public.[17] As President of the Board of Supervisors upon the death of Moscone, Feinstein succeeded to the mayoralty on December 4, 1978.

Do Democrat Senators go on "retreats" by Train too?

Zero surprise there. Though she was more dinner theater actress then academy award winner.

Yes but it was traveling in a car with no Wi-Fi to connect to

Interesting! I know that Amber Alerts, show up on highway information displays....between informing us of seatbelt fines and traffic fatalities due to drunk driving I mean...

I also see beaucoup cameras, sensors, rfid readers, and various other anrennae-type devices on every freeway. I don't know how long it takes to squirt a message. But I bet it's well under a second.

Fascinating.
One of my burner phones which has no SIM card or phone number or service just received an Amber Alert.
I imagine the presidential emergency alert system would also send out to any device whether connected or not as well?

Was the wireless on?

Good question.

Your phone should still connect to towers in the area even with out a SIM card.

Take the SIM out and dial 911, it should go through.

It doesn't surprise me that the Amber alert went through, it's probably tied into the same requirement that allows SOS calls to be accepted regrdless of carrier (which is determined by SIM card)

If it says "No Service", you are probably SOL, though.

Why anyone would think any device is ever actually off, is kind of mystifying to me. Batteries aside, RFID tags require no power source to be read.

Just thinking out loud about Plan "B". I prefer that we save our society by electing enough Republicans to render Democrats TOTALLY inert. Plan "B" is very messy.

Senate committee votes tomorrow.

If confirmed, full Senate on Saturday, according to the #1 terrorist MSM.

Q is really making a make/break Kavanaugh prediction with post 2285, isn't he. Won't have to wait long, like we're doing with the "Goodbye Mr. Rosenstein."

We're up against an enemy of high education and cunning intelligence.

Take Sheila Jackson Lee, wearer of cult-cabal-rings for instance:

In an October 2016 interview on MSNBC, Jackson mistakenly denounced Wikipedia in place of WikiLeaks.

In 1997, while on a trip to the Mars Pathfinder operations center in California, Jackson Lee confused the planet Mars with Earth's own moon, asking whether the Pathfinder had succeeded in taking a picture of the flag planted on Mars by Neil Armstrong in 1969.[39][40]

Jackson Lee complained in 2003 that storm names were too white. "All racial groups should be represented," she said, and asked officials to "try to be inclusive of African-American names."[41]

The Houston Press reported in 1998 that five of Lee's staffers quit that spring: "According to Lee's former Capitol office executive assistant and events scheduler Rhiannon Burruss, the congresswoman's abrasive ways not only drove off staff members but irritated Continental Airlines staffers to the point where one suggested she fly on a competitor instead."[52][53] In 2011 she was reported to have one of the highest staff turnovers in Congress and to be one of the worst bosses.

This is why evil geniuses never win. All their minions are dumb as a box of rocks.

Glad I'm not the only one the smudges bothered....that and her hair being in her eyes for the first hour of her testimony.

Either of those things would have driven me crazy....

Just odd...

Lifetime of fear and loathing, take a toll. She doesn't have access to blood products on a regular basis, most likely. Middle management always gets shafted...

Phones as recently as the iPhone 3G used to turn off the radios when you told them to in setting. It's pretty easy to see with the right equipment. The last time I experimented with the 3G, I used a sniffer probe and a spectum analyzer and you could see the carrier drop out.

I haven't verified with any onther phones for a long time so I have no idea about anything current. never thought to even though the equipment is sitting right there. I uess as I've maturred in my career, I'm a little less curious (and busy).

You'd be surprised how much info you can squeeze into a short burst. We used to have radios buried all over Afganistan that just patiently sat there listening and recording. At a predesignated time they would burst transmit to satellite and back to the states for analysis. The short burst uplink was to reduce the chances of anyone dialing in on the location, although I'm not sure the peeps over there had the tech to do that anyway.
