Why do private messages always remove paragraph formatting?

Every time I send a private message I use proper paragraph formatting but when I hit send, it is always removed. Does this happen to everyone or is this something unique to my (and possibly other's) accounts?

Why does it do this?

This question was asked recently. When you click send it looks like the formatting has been removed but the recipient of your message will receive the message with formatting intact.

After you press send , look at your outgoing message through the outgoing arrow. You will see it is formatted correctly.

But wait until it's read or the other person won't see it as new.

As mentioned, the recvg party will get it correctly...it's just on the senders end...that it appears wonky!

A problem that I have been having with the U2U is when I have
a message the icon isn't lighting up.But,I have wondered about
the format change as well,thanks for clearing that issue for me.

PM notification has been disabled for a while now, you must check manually. Apparently it was done because of some database issue. (Think server load or database size, my guess) Considering the amount of threads on ATS I can understand why.
