The "pedophile" in question was probably trying to mail evidence of something to someone, hence being labelled a pedophile so that nobody would listen to him.

So let me get this straight....

It was an FBI manhunt, so they show up with a small team, without even telling the local police they were coming, evacuate the entire area, disappear without a trace leaving a rent a cop and police tape as the only security, and get their warrant four days after arriving on scene.

And people don't see something really fishy here?

Janitor finds disturbing images (Alien ship next to the Sun?), goes to Post Office to send them to a news outlet? The Feds close down the entire Town, Post Office and Observatory to 'contain' the leak, fabricate the Child Pornography charge to discredit the man should he later decide to tell the truth ..... few weeks later the headline appears 'Janitor found with child pornography on his computer commits suicide'. Sound about good?

What can this Observatory do that cant be done at others ?

I agree, the official story makes zero sense. The FBI would not need to close the observatory for a week if they were investigating a janitor using the company WiFi to download CP onto his personal laptop. Check the laptop, find the CP, bust the guy, investigation is over in time for lunch.

And it doesn't explain at all why the post office was evacuated as well.
