Still no one has actually given a valid reason not to have another referendum.

We have, repeatedly...its just you've chosen to ignore it because it goes against your wish to remain in the EU.

I could just as easily state that no-one has given a valid reason why another referendum should take place.

Its pretty easy isn't it.

You not wanting one isn't really a valid reason.

Or just have another referendum to confirm the majority want to leave and potentially save all the hassle.

But that was the point of the referendum...to see whether people want to leave the EU or not.
The people voted to leave....why have another one to see if they want to leave when they've already voted to leave?

Its so simple even my seven year old grandson understands it.

I am just having fun and wondering if any of you can actually come up with a valid reason not to have a second referendum.

This is your idea of fun...?

Because can change their mind and we now have a lot clearer idea if what brexit will actually entail.
A previous vote does stop us having another one.

Of course this is fun. Participation on ATS is not compulsory , if your not having fun why bother?

I still don't think there should be a second ... vote,
Remain must not be on the ballot paper if 2nd vote does make it out.

Completely unfair if it does.

Giving people a democratic choice is unfair?

I didn't say that.
I said that I don't think anyone has given a valid reason why a second referendum is required.

Because we should only leave the EU if the majority of people want to. The only way to know is by a referendum and we should not be bound by a vote that will be almost 3 years old at the time we leave.

Now why not have one?

The majority did.

By the very nature of leaving The E.U. this takes time.

What do you expect. To leave The E.U. a couple of weeks after a referendum ?

I think it's more some leavers who expected that. I remember reading how simple it would be on here.

Having had a previous referendum isn't a valid reason for not having another. If the majority of people now don't want to leave we shouldn't leave. It's that simple really.

Once Article 50 in invoked it allows the leaving country 2 YEARS to complete a deal.

Your argument should be with The E.U. Go tell them that the time limit should be no more than one month.

You're harping on about the referendum being over 2 years ago.

Work that one out for yourself.

Which means a lot has happened and people should have the opportunity to change their minds. Nothing about the process should be quicker. Clear enough for you now?

Are you doing anything in real life to campaign for a second referendum aside from sharing your opinion on ATS?
I'm only sharing my opinion on places like ATS because there is nothing I see a need to campaign against.
It looks like we're leaving the EU as I voted for.
The fine details are the only real unknown.

Will absolutely support any campaign to give people a democratic choice. Will you oppose that?
