Kavanaugh accuser wants a full FBI investigation before she testifies

I would simply inform her that she's welcome to testify under oath before the Senate or the Judiciary Committee any time she wishes. Today, tomorrow, Thursday, next week, next month, next year. Her choice.

However, the business of the Senate, the Supreme Court and the country as a whole cannot be delayed any longer. The committee vote on Kavanaugh will happen Monday as scheduled and the full floor vote will happen no later than Friday. If she cannot testify within that time frame but does so later and produces compelling evidence against Kavanaugh, that will be taken into account for future impeachment proceedings.

It is what they are saying that is so damming, such as I never met the guy...

Kavanaugh also didn't say something like "I don't remember" or 50 other varieties of like statement to give him an out if it was all true, he said "I WAS NEVER AT A PARTY WITH HER". This is a very powerful statement and one that would get him in hot water if it wasn't true unlike to statements that would say he is innocent too without the risk of perjury.

That's what worries me.

This is more than just delaying a court nomination... it is literally hijacking the country in a bloodless (thus far) coup. The people spoke in 2016 and elected who they chose to run the country. Every move since then by that person elected by the people has been opposed on every possible front by the Democrats. Now we are at the exact same place we were last week:

• The Senate is trying to get Ford to testify to the charges she made
  
• Rosenstein is being attacked, but will not suffer consequences.
  
• Congress cannot get documents they are due from the DoJ.

And at the heart of this are the obstructionists. Stop every possible bit of progress; use whatever underhanded means possible to maintain the status quo; ignore any Constitutional or legal obligations to prevent the government form carrying out its duties.

What Ford is demanding is completely off the wall and improper. She wants no attorneys present to question her, but she has lawyered up well... she wants to ensure that Kavanaugh has no chance to respond to her allegations, since he cannot know what those allegations are until she testifies. In short, she is demanding that the person she accuses is stripped of all rights to defend himself from her charges and assurance that her accusations will not be properly vetted through legal means. It boils down to "I'll testify if and only if you stack the deck against this guy so much I cannot lose my case."

That does not fly.

And now we have a poll saying people are starting to lose faith in the man who underwent and passed 6 background checks, had 65 women come forward to defend him against these charges, and who, under penalty of perjury, definitely stated that the supposed assault never happened. But the people are gaining faith in the accuser who hasn't even shown her face, refuses to testify in anything like a timely manner, whose witnesses refused to back her up, and who insists on a guaranteed win in front of the Senate.

What planet are we on?

Right now, I am so disgusted in the population of the United States that I wish I could move off... let the place burn, as long as those who started the fire are trapped here as it goes down. I just don't see a lot worth saving.

I find it odd that Ford's lawyer claims her girl friend Keyser would not remember anything because nothing happened to her at the party.

Wouldn't you expect your friend - the only other female at a house party, to remember the time when her friend disappeared from a party and left her alone with a bunch of older boys?

Wouldn't they have discussed this incident very shortly afterwards because an angry Keyser confronted Ford's bizarre and possibly dangerous behavior?

And who sneaks out and leaves a friend at the mercy of three maybe 4 boys when two just supposedly attacked you?

Even if you don't want to admit the incident happened I would think you would come downstairs and grab your friend and say, ”We're leaving.".

I would definitely remember this even if I were drinking because it is unacceptable to me for a friend to abandon me at a party. Especially after now claiming she snuck out because two of the party goers attacked her!

I am wondering how Ford and her attorneys can explain away the fact that Keyser swears she never has even met Kavanaugh? I have a feeling this long time friendship they had had just come to an abrupt end.
