Guess you didn't notice that lowering taxes to a certain level increased government tax revenue?

Then why did the deficit go up by so much?

Do you realize everything that the deficit encompasses ?
No , I didnt think so.

If it does that, it will go to Trump, who said he wouldn't pass the next one without Wall funding.

More than that, he also said he'd never sign a bill that added that much debt. It will be interesting to see where this leads.

It will lead to more debt, let's face it, thats one thing government is very good at.

At the present time, the debt is going to increase. Instant elimination of deficit spending would lead to utter chaos in multiple sectors of the economy, national security, health, and retirees. This Frankenstein Monster was created over many years and will take many years to fully destroy... that said, the journey of a million miles begins with a single step. Congress won't do it, so the time has come for the POTUS to follow through and reject these stop gap spending fits Congress is so fond of.

Because we have like 14 fiscal conservatives in the house and Senate?

I was just pointing out that you were wrong about the term.

Why not just say that Progressive Republicans and Progressive Democrats would be fine and dandy with crashing the whole thing down so they can get on with the business of fundamentally transforming the USA?

There is no difference, for the most part, between the two parties right now.

Fiscal conservatism is beginning to make a comeback, but we have a LONG way to go.

Actual Liberals have an even harder road... but a real Liberal is all for a balanced budget.

You have your terms wrong, or misunderstand the politics completely.

No they dont.

They want higher taxes AND increased spending.

I never said they wanted to keep spending where it is. But the responsible thing to do if you're increasing spending is to also increase taxes, is it not?

Get ready for your ipad costs to double to pay for this with the latest wealth redistribution scam.

-Tarriffs

..aka "protecting us" some more

I wonder if that was the long term plan?

-Outsource mfg, then turn around and tarriff it into their pockets.

Hosers will prob run campaigning on stopping the tax increase, then swoop in with tarriffs and make bank.

"Look we saved you!"

-walmart garbage prices quadruple, our fake food prices double

The really sad thing is they aren’t spending our actual money anymore. They are putting every person in the country into more and more irresponsible debt.

Yep, and lets not forget, Trump will be the one to sign this, so its on him as well.

The whole thing is so transparently crooked; pass the buck to future generations.

At least people like bernie are honest about wanting to spend us into an oblivion of debt; the republicans lie year after year about cutting spending, and never, ever follow through.

Just like the dems lie about being the party of peace, but always seem to go along with regime changing wars.

At their roots, they are both the same party.

What if Trump don’t sign?
