Yes you can be an active member of a party, no problem

You however are not allowed to use your work as a federal employee to benefit a political party, which this man admits to doing in the video

He specifically mentions that although he is covering his tracks, if investigators were smart and looked at his web traffic at work, they could build a case against him

That's not what the user I was responding to said though. They said he should be brought up on charges for being an active member of the DSA while also being a federal employee. He didn't mention anything else.

So did he want this guy brought up on charges because he doesn't understand the Hatch Act or because he thinks the DSA is an illegal organization?

I believe that user meant by “working at the same time” that he was working for the dsa on the clock

Seeing as how that is in fact what the guy in the video admits to, this makes sense

This whole issue should really bring up and ask the question, "Why are tax payers funding the public sector Unions?". Also why is it so hard to fire a civil servant?

We live in a era of maximum spin, it's turning reality into propaganda, with clever edits and commentary, with people speaking with high levels of conviction. Both sides are just as guilty and it was happening before Trump too.
Now it is more brazen as each side seeks to cement it's core base, leaving the centrists scratching their heads in disbelief.

Classic Project Veritas. They found one low-level guy in the State Department that actively hates Trump. Next they're going to find one low-level person in the DOJ that hates Trump.

In the end they'll have thousands of hours of footage and all they managed to dig up were five minor federal employees that actively oppose Trump at work which they'll claim proves a massive conspiracy.

Meanwhile they colluded with the Trump administration to deny 200+ citizens their Constitutional rights because they protested against Trump.

Which one of these situations sounds more insidious to you?

I don't advocate people in government sabotaging the government so that it works even worse than it did to begin with. Which is pretty darn bad.

I've always found that line to be amusing.

It's almost as if people us conspiracy, or ATS being a conspiracy site, as a crutch or excuse for their own ignorance and lack of a legitimate argument.
