I used to always refer to the Farmers Almanac for weather trends and seasonal predictions... together with the local weather portion of local news

when the 'every-ones' newspaper came out (USA Today) the data became asinine and the Big 3 (ABC/NBC/CBS) put that blather on the TV screens... we all got deprived of 'Weather forecasts' in a human context

OMG every weather event is a live or die situation! Ever since TWC was bought by Brian Allen Entertainment that's exactly what it's become... entertainment! They have to make everything like a big dramatic movie!
