Better not see anyone ever wearing denim jeans, they were created by and for American cowboys!

no sir.
they appropriated it from the french apparently.

cowboys are/were so insensative
In order to show my shame and apology, I will go naked from the waist down from now on.

Clearly pants, shirts, shoes, socks, jackets and underwear were not American inventions so everyone screaming cultural appropriation needs to get rid of theirs right now, or admit it's all stupid. Need a winter coat when it's twenty below, too bad its cultural appropriation.

If cultural appropriation is made a legitinate concept then we might as well forget about all the things we love. Mexican food, anime, foreign vehicles of any kind, various forms of alcohol, foreign firearms of which I am a huge fan, and a whole host of other pleasures.

As a Cuban man, I culturally appropriated an Irish redhead, and I ain't giving her back.

There are some things we could give back and not exactly miss them. Lutefisk is one, Brussels sprouts are another. Oh and neckties, send them back to France.

Cultural appropriation is one of the most regressive complaints I've encountered.

We should want to share and explore each other's culture.

Kinda kicks that ole progressive whining about diversity right in the ole sac dunnit? roflmao

A perfect reply!

I'd give you more stars if I could.

SoOo.. in the near future, will we go to Wal-Mart, show our 23andMe DNA test results and be escorted to the racially appropriate section?

(I know... all of it will be made in China anyways)

pfft.

I'll just accuse you of appropriating someone's DNA because of the way you think.

can you imagine of someone had though up cultural appropriation in the 80's?

..Or in the `60`s

Hmmm, let`s see:
-``culturally-appropriated`` poncho, worn by an American
- In a movie by an Italian Director
- From a series originally intended for European audiences
- Completely shot in Spain but about the American Far West
- Financed by Germans

**EPIC** classic that never would have seen the light of day if dingbat SJWs had existed back then ....

How about Cowichan sweaters? That's a Native American pattern that originated in the Cowichan Valley in my province. These sweaters are now sold all over North America, Europe, and Australia. And The Big Lebowski just wouldn't have been the same if The Dude didn't have one!

Are white people now expected to surrender these too? I honestly don't see what's wrong with utilizing something that another culture made. Isn't it a compliment that people appreciate certain aspects of your culture?

"White people can't have dreadlocks! That's a black thing!"
Okay, black men will have to stop cutting their hair short, and black women will have to stop straightening their hair and bleaching it blonde. Those are white things.

"White people shouldn't wear clothing that isn't affiliated with their culture!"
Fair enough, but will non-white people stop wearing clothing that isn't affiliated with their cultures? Better ditch those jeans, T-shirts, running shoes, athletic apparel, business attire, tuxedos. How is your boss going to feel about you showing up at the office wearing a loincloth and a bone necklace?

Haha. That's funny.

I have to consider it's Michael Kors, who's a pretty savvy business man. I think he sees the "immigrant" look as the new grunge, Pretty people want to relate to the poor every now and then.

Freaking SJW's tearing this nation apart with their idiocracy, but of course its all Trumps fault.

Ahh, such ridiculous outrage. I have one of those that I bought back home in good old New Mexico where they're pretty commonplace in stores. I really should have my mom get me a few more and mail them to me up here. Too bad no one will notice. People are too up in arms about cultural appropriation of First Nations than to care about mexican culture.

To further complicate things, who decides who can utilize things from what cultures? What of those members of society who have a mixed ancestry, such as myself? Where would we fall on the cultural spectrum? My father is 50% Danish and 50% Welsh, and my mother is 50% Dutch and 50% Native American (Smelqmix tribe). I'm permitted to indulge in pickled fish, wooden clogs, Dylan Thomas poems, and tobacco smoked out of a peace pipe. Trouble is, I don't particularly enjoy any of those things. Or does that 1/4 fraction of non-white ancestry permit me to indulge in all non-white cultures? Hoo-boy, this is gonna get ridiculous if it progresses!

Disclaimer: That's not me in the photo LOL. I had to clarify so people don't go thinking that the ancestry blend described above is some kind of genetically incompatible catastrophe.

Clothing designers fight/sue over these kinds of things on a regular basis. Theft of and copying designs.

Including the BIG designers. This is nothing new. In fact, Ivanka Trump is in trouble right now because of claims that she stole shoe design styles.

Did she or didn't she? Compare them and judge for yourself.

I'm having "I Love Lucy" flashbacks. Used to watch the reruns.

Yours isn't as insane as Lucy, is she?
