If you don’t like a product, don’t use it.

Capitalism at work.

Censorship at work.

What do you suggest? Do you want the government to regulate a private company?

Nope.

Or do you want to pull yourself up by your bootstraps and find a new place to talk about how Hillary is turning frogs gay?

Don't care about AJ.

Just care about censorship.

So what do you suggest?

Or is this just another “let’s all get offended over what a private company does” thread?

Depends on who and where the censorship is coming from.

If it’s a private company, it’s up to them, and I don’t think the government should interfere with what they as a business want to do.

If it’s the government or politicians censoring, that’s a whole different ball game. And whoever is behind it should be dragged through the streets tar and feathered and kicked out of government for good.

Why is the first thing that comes to mind always government regulation?

Government regulation is leading Facebook to censor people with threat of fines, as they have done in Europe. Facebook is already buckling to the pressure of government regulation.

No, appealing to the government to regulate a private company is for cowards. We’re speaking about standing up for civil liberties.

Well, one thing is for sure, ideology trumps sexual orientation on the left.

Ideology trumps sanity, logic, and reason on the left.

So you’re angry about a private company not honoring freedom of speech? Is the constitution part of their business plan?

I take it you would support the NFL allowing Kaepernick to kneel as much as he wants then. I mean, if you all are really concerned about companies taking away freedom of speech and standing up for civil liberties, you should be on board with that 100%.

If this is really about censorship and civil liberties.

I guess it shouldn't be surprising that our takes on this are more or less reversed?

I think that "it is legal for a private company to censor and ban people" isn't really going to cut it going forward if there are going to be a few platforms that constitute 95% of social media. I don't know that we should be begging the government to get involved in regulating social media but at the very least, we should all be openly against purely political censorship.

That said, given that all the recent examples of alleged "censorship" of "conservatives" by social media (Milo, "Ricky Vaughn," Diamond & Silk, AJ, etc) haven't really been about these people being conservative at all (or didn't actually happen in the one case), I'm inclined to believe this is bull# too.

What kind of stupid strategy would it be to try to somehow damage conservatism by silencing trolls from the absolute fringe?

Color me shocked.

I'm against censorship, am for free expression.

Apparently you are not. Though I am not surprised in this at the least.

You are a liar.

Or maybe mistaken.

I've even defended Kathy Griffin.

I don't see how it works both ways ,you claim you're against censorship, perhaps its my misunderstanding of censorship, but I don't see how you get to pick and choose what can be censored.
