President Trump's Attorney General Jeff Sessions has picked up an unlikely, but powerful set of allies and protectors...DEMOCRATS. They are even willing to overlook the fact that he may have perjured himself before Congress.

CNN is reporting that top congressional Democrats are planning to take an unexpectedly soft line on new and potentially very damning information that has emerged about Attorney General Jeff Sessions and the Russia probe.

Why? Because Democrats understand full well that Sessions, of all people, could end up being pivotal to preventing President Trump from covering up the findings of special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s investigation.

A few days ago, the news broke that in a recent court filing, former Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos contradicted Sessions’s previous sworn testimony about how Sessions reacted when Papadopoulos proposed the idea of Trump meeting with Vladimir Putin during the 2016 campaign.

Sessions had told Congress that he “pushed back” on the suggestion. But in the filing, Papadopoulos’s lawyers claimed that in fact, Sessions “appeared to like the idea and stated that the campaign should look into it.”

Now, per CNN, Democrats are holding back with going after Sessions over the discrepancy, because they worry that if they go too hard at Sessions, it could provide Trump with a pretext for firing him.
MORE at: www.washingtonpost.com...

Democrats are so certain that Bob Mueller is going to recommend impeachment of President Trump, that they're willing to overlook a potential crime committed by an Attorney General whom they absolutely detest.

Even if the Special Counsel 100% clears the President of any potential wrong-doing tomorrow, there's nothing the minority party (Democrats) could do to have the Attorney General indicted anyway.

And, what makes them so certain that Jeff Sessions will do what they want anyway? It's entirely possible that the entire Trump-Sessions feud could be a ruse...an act that's meant to give Democrats false hope that Sessions is impartial, or maybe even anti-Trump.

Maybe the mid-term election results will deliver the answer.

A soft line?

Allies??

"CNN is reporting..."!!??!!

Withholding information?

Subverting due process??

Overlooking violations of certain individuals to garner support in targeting a specific individual????

America was always great, time to make it LAWFUL again.

Spoiler Alert:

Trump isn't going away,...unlike the future of the Democratic party I'd predict.

For the extra layer in this:
The media/Dems will play up the character of Sessions, making him a public Hero, untouchable, cuz he is standing up against their 'Satan'.
Then Session comes out, indicting all the bad actors in 'Spygate'. So they (media/Dems) have to make a fool of themselves again by burning Sessions down for playing against their team...

So Sessions is not impartial and favors Trump over the constitution and laws he is sworn to uphold?

Well, that causes some problems.

That right there says a whole lot about the Dem's right now. -_-

Impeachment isn't up to sessions. Impeachment depends on Congress.

Mueller has no say on impeachment either. He can submit the findings of the investigation and it would be up to Congress on how to proceed.

After the FISA warrants are declassified, Sessions is going to fire Rod Rosenstein for making false statements to the FISA court. Given what the Dems have just been saying about Sessions, it'll be awesome.

Sure...

And Q will roll up with Hillary in an orange jumpsuit, on her way to prison of course, and Elvis will return on the space ship that lands on the White House lawn.

If we are going to play make believe, let's make it interesting at least.

It seems to me a symptom of how much DNC "thinkers" have bought into the idea that NOW is the only time that matters to the general public. And while in some sense that is true, to trust everything to be dumbed down to being in the moment is not a smart way to think forward on strategic goals.

It makes me wonder if they really have any actual smart people on their team anymore..

All that coc aine Bill, all those poppers Barry, all that murder and coc aine and rape and poppers...makes minds slip I think.

Democrats have been unlucky to the extreme, haven't they. Going back to 2012. We'll see if this "Protect Sessions" movement continues that streak.

President Trump said last year that he wishes Jeff Sessions was loyal like Obama's Eric Holder. So apparently your concern is unwarranted.
