I am challenging that... and saying repeatedly peeps are hiding behind their stars, and not commenting is basically calling them cowards in my book.

What is off topic about that comment ? You have made it multiple times in this thread.

It would paint a much better view of someone if their stars were public, and you seem afraid of that.

Actually it wouldn't. I star and flag members I don't agree with frequently, for various reasons. Among them, a well thought out OP or comment will usually get an S or F from me. If you try to gauge me by my flags and stars, you will get confused.

Not afraid at all. It's just my business, and not yours.

Rather than eliminating stars and flags we need a socialist system to redistribute the wealthiest members stars and flags to the less fortunate.

Honestly, the closest I can come to how I see the star system is like a couple of guys in a gang, usually the leaders, who pick a fight and pummel the victim and then all the rest of the gang, the hangers on, fringe followers all jump in and add one more kick apiece to the ribs.

I keep wanting to star various posts in this thread...

adding friends is done through add friend on walls. this star and flag things are about posts only. you can look at their walls to see who friends who. duh.

fine. do it without me. i hardly use stars and flags and barely notice them anyway.
