The World Council of Churches, the largest unifying body of non-Catholic
Christian churges, has accused the United States of America of violating
international law over their treatment of detainees at Camp X-Ray, Cuba

Questions:

1. Even if the pope himself said the U.S. was violating International Law would that even make a difference?

2. Besides this announcement by the WWC are they doing anything else to actually solve the problem of the United States breaking International Law?

3. Why doesn't the WCC and other unifying bodies of churches take a more active role in anti-war activities as in during the Vietnam war?

My father was a lutheran pastor and was studying in seminary school during the Vietnam war. He didn't go and fight and was strongly active with the unifying bodies of churches in the background of the U.S. anti-war movement. Many of the clergymen of that era met and talked and wrote. Wrote to leaders and wrote to colleagues to talk and learn about the ethics and morals of our country. To understand where we were failing and where we are going. Is this all lost?

The UYs has mae it very clear what it thinks about international law... reagen said oh yeah? when the world court told him he was a terrorist in 1982. He then declared the next day "law day" in america.

The US belives international law is its own constitution.. and want to impose it on the planet. This is very claer form the statements and actions taken by them.

International Criminal Court? No can do says US.. coz US citizens are ONLY answerable to US law.. and they would invade holland to extract US nationals at the court!! Basically saying international law.. shminternational law.. we dont care!

It the planet was a room the US would have been asked to leave long ago by the international community.. oh and to take their lap dog israel with them. The amount of thime their vetos have blocked internatoal agreements alone is enough to say why bother showing up if youre not going to play?

Ok there are a few others that dont play nicely with the other kids.. but these 2 surely are the biggest bullies on the playgroud at the moment.

"World Council of Churches"

Whos that? Never heard of them. What does anything a council of churches has to say mean anything at all? They should just stick with raping thier brainwashed followers of thier money (and thier kids) and free thought and keep thier opinions out of politics and law.

Did you even read the questions I asked or did you just feel like wasting space on Above Top Secret's MySQL server? I wish you could keep your opinions out of this post.

There are many men and women of god of the cloth who should be listened to on their opions about law and society.

You are one of the ones we probably shouldn't!
