I'm arguing over Trump's use of word "we'. And you've been arguing right along! That says more about you than me.

Of course, when Trump says " we", he is referring to himself.

"We" means "self + others".
"I" (or, "me", or "my") refers ONLY to one's self.

I believe the OP is pointing out that Obama doess not typically include anybody else, when taking credit or describing the smartest guy in the room.

Otherwise, Obama uses the pronouns "he", "his", or "him".

For example, "I made this economy" or "He thinks we were spying on him".

In other words, Obama doesn't seem to be a team player. There is no "we" there.

Sounds like somebody didn't listen to Obama's speech.

But when there’s a vacuum in our democracy, when we don’t vote, when we take our basic rights and freedoms for granted, when we turn away and stop paying attention and stop engaging and stop believing and look for the newest diversion, the electronic versions of bread and circuses, then other voices fill the void.

We are Americans. We’re supposed to stand up to bullies. Not follow them. We’re supposed to stand up to discrimination, and we sure as heck supposed to stand up clearly and unequivocally to Nazi sympathizers. How hard can that be? Saying that Nazis are bad?

You just made my point. Obama uses "we" in derogatory ways. Besides the "We are Americans", all the rest are just lectures. Something parents would say. It's like he's talking down to "us".

Let's count the "we's" and "I's", from both parties.
