What does that even mean?

Trump paid him to lie and someone outbid Trump?

Do you even know what you're saying?

This sentence is weak for the crime committed. They should have made an example of him and made him do real time. The average person would probably get a couple years.

I think the example made is laud and clear. If you have something to deal...we can deal.
Yeah. Same old same for D.C.

Can a question be a lie?

I mean a rhetorical question can be intended to convey a lie. But does framing it as a question rather than a statement matter?

What if it is not asked rhetorically?

14 days.

Just long enough for the MSM to move onto something else.

Should ask some folks who are doing 5 years how they feel about lying to the FBI vs smoking a plant or other such offenses.

Told you that no elites will do any significant time. It doesn't matter if they're convicted of absolute treason...14 days...30 days, maybe 6 months tops. No matter who or which party they represent they'll do little to no time. And they'll be back on the tour circuit the next morning.

That's why it's called accepting a plea deal and cooperating with the investigation. Had he not he could have gotten up to 5 years.

Do you have any knowledge of the law and how it works or is this just your opinion?

Genuinely asking and curious.

Because the investigation is illegal

No it isn't, it's stupid to think that. He was appointed by the department of justice. It's been quite successful so far and hopefully we'll get a few more rats busted before the election.

Papadopoulos 'can't guarantee' he didn't tell Trump campaign about Russian dirt

www.cnn.com...

Witch Hunt my ass, but keep telling yourselves that. When the Blue Wave takes over America maybe then you'll admit you idiocy.

I wonder what kind of cell he will get? It's not like he will be put in the general population. Heck they may even just sneak him out the back door on his first day.

Is lying to a dirty FBI agent a crime?

I didn't know that either, do they make you swear?

I lie to my psychiatrist.

McCabe Lied Four Times to DOJ and FBI - Twice While Under Oath
What a F'n pathetic joke this is.

I have no problem with Papadopoulos getting this but FFS I just cant take the blatant partisan 'justice' anymore.

How can lying to a federal agency be considered not serious through?

After everyone has done it, apparently, it's not so serious any more.

If we threw everyone we knew in prison for lying to the FBI and Congress, we'd have to put away at least half of the people we know of that have been questioned over the last couple of years, including our own government workers.

That folks is why you should never speak to investigators without a lawyer and meticulously picking apart every question asked. Because any answer you give can be manipulated into being a lie. They have locked many people away for crimes they did not commit using this tactic. Always remember it doesn't matter if your innocent or guilty when it politically advantageous to charge you and win with something.
