What made me smile today? The dog, when he heard a squeaky dog toy on tv, went to look for it....behind the tv, with his ears like radar dishes.....I nearly laid an egg, I tell ya...big, tough, scary German Shepherd, looking for his lost squeaky thing.....

I didn't have anything to smile about this morning, and I was thinking about what to say, until I saw a little blink in the upper left hand corner and I saw the name of a special brown-haired girl flash across the tab.

Opening the other tab I find myself smiling the biggest smile ever as I saw her well-worded online greeting....

"Hey.
"

And now I have a reason to smile.

I try to teach my kids right. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.
There is a homeless man in my city, who frequents the downtown area, and plays his violin while the open case sits nearby for donations.
A couple of times now while out and about with my 14 year old son and his girlfriend, we have seen this man and tossed a couple of dollars into his case along with the various nickels, dimes and quarters, and even pennies that were there. I can't tell you have grateful this man is when we do that.
Well, yesterday...
My son went to the bank to pick up his pay,and while walking down the street he saw this man again, playing away on his violin.
My son opened his wallet, and dropped a fresh 20 dollar bill into the case.
I thought the poor old guy would have a heart attack. But it was worth the money just to see the smile on his face, and the pride my son felt.

What a wonderful mother to teach charity and generosity! ! !

My smile today is because my Movie hit the theaters yesterday and I'm going to see it this afternoon.

Actually I'm just an extra in the film, but it's my first time for the silver screen.

AD, write a review and tell us what you think of the movie in general....funny, stupid etc

I'm the long, greyhaired, bearded hippie...
Walking into the theater looking askance at the arguing actors.
Sitting in the audience with my screen wife.

I also should have a couple more movies that I am in coming out around
Xmas....The Spirit, Brothers

Oh yeah, I finally got a speaking part in a TV pilot. That made me smile.

A late realisation perhaps, and after it occurred it certainly seems there are many others who have already made the comparison, but when watching a YouTube video (Carl Sagan 4th Dimension Explanation) it seemed unquestionable that Agent Smith from The Matrix was based on Carl Sagan.

A quick refresher of Agent Smith:

Now the clip that I was watching:

There is a YouTube video where the voice of Carl Sagan is overlaid on a clip from the film where Agent Smith interrogates Morpheus but I think the clip of Carl Sagan above is better suited.

As I said, maybe a tad behind the times but it made me smile.

started my day smiling

a friend was so happy about not forgetting his birhtday - just said a simple hi on his day - it was amazing
that really made my day

ex hubby was very friendly, got a major hard disk crash the other week, and due to that all my fonts were gone, but i need them professionally.
today i met the ex and brought my external hard disk along, and we found out that the controller was broken, i thought it meant another months without fonts, but no - the ex conjured another external hard disk he didn.t need anymore, formated it for me, put the fonts on it and let me go with it

big big smile in my face
and smile is now even bigger, before the crash i got 8,000 fonts now i got 35,000
wow imagine the possibilities!

thanks a bunch dear ex!
