What made you smile today?

I was getting dressed this morning, my wife was getting my daughter ready for school and my son walks into the room, hair standing on end, diaper near exploding and he says "daddy, I sorry I misbehabed (that's how he says it). can I have my piderman (again, his speak) cotoom peeze?"

His eyes all wide and forgiving. How could I say no to him?

My daughter comes in and shouts "HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACK!!! IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY!!" (it isn't)

He got so excited, he started jumping up and down and singing happy birthday to dacky b (jackie b). My daughter snickered and walked out of the room.

I was even smiling as he started to cry when the realization that no gifts are coming as it isn't his birthday.

bigger smile tonight when I come home with a few gifts for him and a small birthday cake.

she won't be so happy.

My 4 year old daughter has been drawing me a picture everyday, and bringing it to me singing Happy Birthday ever since January 14.I can't seem to get it through to her that a birthday lasts one day only.
Your little guy sounds cute as a button.I know he has his "button pushing" moments.Your daughter will definitely not be happy if you show up with cake and presents for Jack and not for her.That's gonna break her little heart Stephen.Better make a trip to the Hannah Montana section..or else....

That would be funny. It made me smile. I smile easily though. And at other times I don't.

My humor is often different than others, or maybe I just have a light heart. I think a lot of people are unsure whether or not to laugh because other people aren't laughing.

The beer in my hand and the rest of the case in the fridge.

I was on the site last night, my daughter was sitting next to me, waiting for me to show her something and I scrolled past a post by Springer. My daughter sees his avatar and says "look daddy, there's your friend Mark."
She pauses for a second and says "he's a really good singer daddy and I like it when he plays guitar." (he strummed a bit for my kids and then made up a song, "time for bed")

I agreed that he was very good. Then my daughter said "do you have a picture too?" I said I did and showed it to her.

"you look handsome daddy but you look better for real."

I gave her a nice big hug and a kiss.

I was carrying on with my girlfriend earlier and poking fun at random compulsions that she has. For example, while studying.. she said she couldn't study unless she had a pen in her hand. In response to my picking at her, she fires this quote at me...

"I'm not OCD, I just have to do it!"

It gave me a laugh.

Oops. Um.. my own foolishness made me giggle today. 12m8keall2c could have saved my embarrassment, but noooooo!

ok, so im making a mexican pizza thing for lunch today. i decided to spice it up abit and add some chilis.

i pop one into my mouth for the hell of it, just as my gf walks in. she says to me, ¨arent those hot?¨

now im used to spicy stuff, and i had very little difficulty hiding the slight burning sensation in my mouth. so with a skeptical eye he picks one up and is about to eat it.

and i go *hiccup*

so close.....

Well today one of my friends was like
"hey chris, why did the duck cross the road"

Then I was like "to get to the other side"

Then he was like "no, because it was tied to the chicken"

And then I couldnt stop laughing.
I know it doesnt seem that funny now but when he first said it I thought it was hilarious.

Good company gave me giggles and smiles today.
