woke up and found both my kids to be sweet and pleasant (a rarity in my home).

opened up the paper and saw this:
www.nydailynews.com...

scroll down to Saucer's Apprentice.

Took my daughter to school and met my wife at the docs for some stellar news (no more procedures needed)

No issues so far with the cab strike.

Hooked my digital camera up to the office pc to see if it would work here and managed to get all the pics on the card transferred (the home pc couldn't read the card and the USB hook to the camera failed as well).

so far it's been a stellar day, right down to the secretary coming in to tell me I looked happy and handsome - always a bonus.

I'm smiling like a simpleton.

'Like' a simpleton?

Congrats on the medical news. That made me smile for you.

thanks. The medical news wasn't anything worrisome. My wife had something done a while back that resulted in the need for a few extra medical visits and a possible repeat of the original procedure. Nothing life threatnening, nothing risky, just uncomfortable and annoying but this visit today confirmed that she is finished and done with the issue.

Waking up and seeing that the 4 inches of snow that came down Saturday night had melted off my car. No need to break out the scraper just yet.

Damn you Denver and your early snowfall!!!!

Coming home from surgery yesterday afternoon and Seagull had bought me a bar of some really great chocolate. I tell you he's one heck of a brother.

I was getting dressed this morning when my son walked into the room. His hair was sticking up all over the place, he still had sleep lines on his face and he looked downright droopy. I said "c'mere and give me a hug and a kiss" to which he replied "okay daddy" in a tone that said fine you annoying old man.

I kneeled down and he threw his arms around my neck and said "not on the nose daddy, on the lips." I gave him a kiss and stood up and he looked up at me and said "I not wipe it off daddy."

W00t! The thing on my scalp wasn't a cancerous melanoma -- it was a granuloma. And they caught two pre-cancerous lesions on my nose.

I am cancer free! Whee!

My sister called me tonight and told me her daughter had her baby

As we were taking, she tells me that when she called my grandma and grandma asked what they named the baby, my sister says "Lauren Nicole" My grandma says "What? Lauren Becall?" Too funny
God Love her

My grandma can't hear worth beans, and now the baby has a new nick name
