Knowing that i'm one day closer to getting a job that will get me one step closer to the truth. That would make any ATSer smile.

The thread Help Me Pay it Forward gave me a smile today. Some wonderful posts by some wonderful ATS'ers.

Truthfully, this was from a few days ago... but I'm still smiling, so I think it counts.

An evening rain:
A lone butterfly flaps, soars --
One, persevering.

Yesterday, I smiled because I began (and finished) a leather cover for a notebook -- first experience with leather-work. (And tonight I'll make myself a new wallet.)

And today... right now, I smile simply because I can. I don't know what tomorrow will bring, or this evening, or the next moment... and for once, I am at peace with the fact that I do not know, and content with the understanding that it really doesn't matter. So I smile.

(edited to add)
P.S. General Eyes' avatar cracked me up.. first external source to cause a smile today! (I count my sweetie as an internal one.)

oh!

and I got a text message from someone I never ever expected to get a text message from.
I was smiling before I even knew who it was from, in fact, because it was fun, solving the mystery of who was messaging me!

When a girl was flirting with me. That was a weird switch from the usual boring day.

I did a presentation on the effects of Music on our generation, and I nailed it!

Feels good to work hard at something, and know you've accomplished your goal and then some.

A 10 minute presentation turned into almost 25 minutes of great discussion.

I'm all smiles today!

Oh yeah, and I have another long weekend.

Quite a few things actually.

1. Realising tomorrow is a half day of school.
2. Seeing the amount of weight I can lift double in a week.
3. Having a bunch of girls smile and act flirty towards me, even if they
don't have a chance.
4. Watching an ROTC Marine in training sing the Barbie girl song in German.
5. Thinking how much fun it would be to be the President.
6. Learning about Japan.
7. Making a clay model of Cheyenne mountain.

A message from a Mod. No two Mods. Let me know that one requires hypertrophic-dermis and the capacity to ignore that which is unhelpful.

I'm going to be home for Xmas this year.

I'm hosting a grand Xmas party for all my loved ones.

My SO is getting me a new 'ergonomic' workstation. Shhhh. It's suppose to be a surprise. It's not my fault that I know. It was an accidental RV. LOL. C'est la vie.

Merry Christmas to you all and A Happy New Year!

My youngest daughter went to the local home for the elderly to sing them christmas carols, a nice activity the local school kids do this time of year.

When asked if she enjoyed herself she replied, "Not really"......."Most of them fell asleep and one of the ladies had a beard!"

Luckily she did'nt mention anything at the time.
