Twitter is on its way becoming like Myspace.

The whole world has access to Twitter, and uses it regularly. Not just Americans, and certainly not just the minority who rely on Twitter to get their daily dose of "stable genius".

Twitter is going nowhere and it has every right to enforce its T&C against those who choose to ignore it.

You are right.

I think the time is ripe for a 'new' Twitter...I mean, at one time MySpace was on fire...

And then the "new" twitter will have to put rules in place in order to protect itself from potential liability issues, and then when people break those rules, people such as yourself will cry about that.

Much like a spoiled teenage girl, you guys will not be pleased unless the actions fit your biases and such.

Moreover, I find it disheartening that some many of you do not seem to understand the concept of freedom, freedoms and the responsibilities that comes with them.

You sure do push a lot of left-wing stink around here. lol
Twitter holds no American values, it's far from those values we call freedom.

Just a few thoughts on this:

1) Twitter is a private company, and in a capitalistic society private companies can do what they want as long as it is in the law. If they ban Trump and people don't like it, the rules of supply and demand will come into effect and they will loose members.

2) Trump should just start his own webpage or something similar to Twitter. I am sure he has the funds to do so.

3) If Trump did start his own webpage or social media platform there is nothing to say that ISP's (many who are owned by MSM) wouldn't charge more for people to access it now that there is no net neutrality, but net neutrality was an Oboma idea so this would be a good thing now wouldn't it?

.... just my three cents.

Twitter is not a person. It cannot and does not hold any "values", beyond what is represented by those that run it.

That being said, the freedoms I speak of are those of individuals. Those freedoms come with the right to put rules, or terms and conditions, on the use of the private property they own, as long as they do not violate the rights of others.

That being said, a "new twitter" would have very similar rules to the one that exists now, as it's about liability and what is best for business. So I'm not sure that would solve the problems people see in this issue.

You sure do push a lot of left-wing stink around here. lol

Isn't it sad that freedoms and rights are considered "Left-wing stink"?

How do people think that social media is some kind of basic human right?

It's really quite simple.

Twitter is a PRIVATE company and is entitled to make rules just as any other private company is and does. Twitter also has a right to enforce those rules. Nobody MADE Alex Jones or Trump, or anyone for that matter, join Twitter.

Alex Jones willingly joined, willingly chose to say he would follow the rules when he joined and then they willingly decided to break those same rules.

All this crying is simply Alex Jones supporters having a whinge and trying to throw mud and hoping something sticks. A tantrum......basically.

Sure.... Twitter is entitled to enforce communist like repression against political opponents.

Rule #1
Under no circumstances are citizens permitted to criticize the looney left on any level.

For realz lol....

It's the tech-left that's having childish tantrums.... They can't handle political criticism, thus give the boot to people like Alex Jones. It's to pacify crying liberals.

What Alex Jones provided is not simple political criticism. He created unfounded conspiracy that held some outlandish claims, in which he became a potential liability to twitter.

Corporations are not allowed to randomly enforce their rules.

They have to be clear across the board.

Whatever rules they state jones broke now have to be enforced equally or they will be liable.

If people don't like what Twitter does then vote them out.

Oh.....wait.....

It's a private company so.....

If people don't like what Twitter does then stop using it. You won't be able to get daily updates from Trump or any other favourite posters though, so you'll either have to just deal with it or shut up and accept Twitters rules.

I agree with what you say but in no way did it address my post.

They are bound by law to be equal.

What makes this issue even more hilarious, is that only around 25% or so of the adults in the US even use twitter. Considering how many adults use twitter solely for their jobs/work, this issue becomes even less important than it needs to be.

Good way to get congress to pass a law to declare all such social media as a public utility to be govt. regulated.

That's a good idea! We all know how efficient and equatable government regulations are. So socialism then? Yeah, congress will be all over that....

I hope you are being sarcastic, but I get the feeling you're not....
