You'll have to speak more slowly, it's difficult to make out what you're saying over the wailing and the gnashing of your teeth.

Yay! Tantrum boy is back!

Did mummy tell you the big bad boogie man wasn’t real yet?

Must be some Organ trafficking going on here....

I think someone swtched your brain for Abby Normal or maybe it's Liberal Normal?

Saying you’re having a tantrum is liberal now too?

No wonder you’re so scared of an imaginary boogie man. “The libs are after me! The libs are after me! Aaaaaaaaaaaaah!”

So....

Alex Jones, goes to DC, gets into the face of the CEO of Twitter, in front of all the media , calls him names and accuses him of all sorts of stuff, and generally, just acts like a dck.

And now people are wondering why he was banned?

Its not rocket science.

Some so called conservatives here are even saying they want the government to get involved... forcibly regulate the policies of a private company.

So much for 'small government'.

Ironic isn't it. Conservatives embracing socialism. To stupid to even see the irony.

Didn’t you know? The only way to stop “the libs” is to be a communist.

Not really surprising though given that directly after Trumps election we had people on here calling for anyone who speaks negatively about Trump to be jailed.

You could sear the word "Hypocrite" into their foreheads with a branding iron and they still wouldn't see it.

A pig and overt bigot like Jones could have stayed on these media if he just stopped his blatant abuse of others, his foolishness, and bigotry

You still have very alternative, yet civil, media on the MSM platforms.

Now Jones has been permanently taken out of the apple app store

Apple Permanently Bans Alex Jones’ Infowars From App Store

www.thedailybeast.com...

Apple Inc. removed Alex Jones’ Infowars website from its App Store late Friday and permanently banned the conspiracy theory website from its platform. The company had already removed the majority of Jones’ work from iTunes and its podcast apps last month but had stopped short of completely giving Infowars the boot. On Friday, however, the company said it had removed five more Infowars-linked apps and permanently banished Jones’ work.

You are confusing issues here.

Conservatives have no qualm with the Govt getting involved in regulation - small govt. does not mean no govt.
Right now, private companies ARE regulated in how they can behave. Restaurants can't deny service to black people, for example. Outside of a tiny minority of racist lunatics you will not find complaints about that. Society has come to a consensus on segregation, conservative and liberals broadly agree.

So this is not an issue of principal or ideology and characterising it as such is either an attempt to divide or a fundamental misunderstanding of the issue at hand.

The issue at hand is one of law - right now private companies are able to legally discriminate based on political ideology - to an extent. The social media companies have a pass on liability for content on their platforms because they are positioned as just a digital public square. If they get into editing and curating content then they step into the realm of any media company who do, in fact, have to adhere to regulation. Again, that regulation is broadly accepted on both sides of the political aisle.

So the debate here is whether law is required to address this discrimination.

My view is that when several (over 30) tech companies all ban the same person in the space of a few days, there is something more than a mere forum/social media ban going on here. Some of the bans have actually come from infrastructure suppliers - like email platforms.

Banning an individual from 95% of online social interactions (and refusing to let him pay and use certain software) because he once said Sandy Hook was a false flag or is annoying to some people (who, by the way, can easily ignore him) seems to me to be going far beyond a case of a single private company refusing service. There is obviously something more going on here.

What's next? No mortgage?, no credit cards?, no business loans? not allowed to use Uber? No electric or gas? No water? Not allowed to shop in the Supermarket?
Where would you like it to end?

Like him or loathe him or, most commonly, completely ambivalent to him, those that are supportive of what has happened to him have a serious screw loose (more so than he).

Not sure which firm since I don't work in IT. I only know that at my global Fortune 100 company ATS is blocked as a site. I think it's ridiculous that a free thought site is thought of that way, but that's something based on the overseers of tech.

They are probably not blocking the site specifically, but their firewall rules are blocking a subset of language, content types, or other aspects of ATS or other sites, that ends up blocking it. Sometimes a business will target a specific site if enough employees are wasting their time browsing on it during business hours, but that is less common. Usually IT actually doesn't have the time to babysit what sites people are browsing, and blocks are almost always put into place by managers who think their employees are browsing during work hours and wasting time that they could be working.

As far as Twitter, or Facebook or any social media site goes.. they are going to ban anything that either puts them at risk (if Alex Jones "calls for his people" to riot for example), or that they feel breaks their sites T/C, it's that simple. Alex Jones wasn't banned because he was spreading truths that were exposing the "bad people." He was banned because he is an obnoxious moron who tries to start crap.

Maybe more conservatives are banned than liberals because they post more arrogant, rude, and aggressive posts.. ever think of that? Naw... not possible right?

Twitter is on its way becoming like Myspace.

Twitter was fun and useful before everyone knew about Twitter. It has turned into a cesspool over the past few years. I rarely log in anymore, and I used to be a pretty heavy user.

If Trump didn't have Twitter, he could just type out his thoughts and put them on the Whitehouse website or something. He would get as much visibility as he does now. It isn't as if the conversation threads spawned by his Tweets get covered.

I would avoid seeing his Tweets if I could. But that would mean cutting myself off from nearly all media. It is too bad his Tweets don't stay limited to Twitter.

Your Democratic Party wants to bring the censor-ridden Communist practices back (cough, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, cough) and you remain silent. Good luck with that. You are freer under Trump, but you cannot see that. If you get a Dem in the oval office the media and tech rulers will own your butt. You cheer on Alex Jones and Trumps censorship by them, but you are next! You really can't think past your recent latte can you!?

What's bizarre to me is you think its only one side eroding our rights, you and those like you are complicit in letting this happen, if only you could shed the partisan rhetoric and look at the big picture.

Repeat this to yourself slowly..." The very nature of government is to grow at the expense of the people."

Both sides are eroding our rights, as you cheer this on our rulers quietly laugh....

That's because the branding needs to be done on their back side,so when they pull their heads our for air theres no way of avoiding it....

I never said it was only one side. I don't think Trump is as bad as Obama or Bush was on rights, but McStain was not a good right winger. Seeing how this thread is a diatribe against Trump I feel confident in defending him. I don't yet see the govt. creep under Trump that was demonstrated under previous Presidents. What I do see growing is a bunch of whining babies on the Democrat side hoping to derail a fairly elected President, and it won't happen.

If Trump was dropped from Twitter, Twitter would fold like a house of cards. I hope Twutter drops Trump. I'd enjoy Twitter going away.

I doubt twitter would fail if they banned trump, its a global platform, murica are not the only customers and as we can see with Nike's latest move trump and his fan boys are not the be all and end all.

Nope. Twitter has issues with stock price due to weak revenue results. They are in a weak position and could tumble in the stock market. As Pelosi said, you can take that to the bank!

Think for a second how low twitters overheads are, the business makes profit from people using the platform, its not going anywhere soon, well unless another platform takes it place...

Doesn't matter. It's how the Stock market perceives you. The Market doesn't like their weak revenue stream. They are in a precarious situation as we speak. Twitter is the next MySpace.
