Oh definitely not acceptable, but it should be the voters that determine the punishment. If they vote for him they deserve what they get.

Well obviously you haven't read the dems comments on the constitution recently, they specifically want people who will go against the constitution for progressive policies. They also have been very adamant about voting no no matter what, so additional vetting doesnt really serve any purpose at this point. The obstructionist will remain obstructionist.

These democrats are nit wits what the hell! They are setting all the precedent and unless they can find a way into power they are setting themselves up pretty badly! I would not doubt that the sealed indictments are that way so they can set more of their own precedence and so the American people know this fact before they bring them down with their own.

So it looks like Senator Booker didn't like the idea of "classified" documents being withheld (especially since it wasn't a matter of national security) and broke some rules to make them public.

Just today, roughly 12 pages of emails relating to Kavanaugh and Racial Profiling were released.

What do you think? Ok to break the rules in this situation? Does this change everyone's views on the Supreme Court Nominee? What will be the ramifications of this?

thehill.com...

No, its not okay to break the rules of the Senate. He essentially released emails showing that Kavanaugh did not want racial profiling following 9/11, which is a good thing.. So i don't know what's up with the theatrics of Booker. But I will say this, he definitely deserves the Oscar for grandstanding.

Blinded by hate (and because he received his marching orders), he thought he could pull a fast one without actually reading the material. It's like Geraldo and the Capone vault, or Maddow and the tax return.

You have that right.

What are they wanting? Are they thinking it'll be cool to have more conservative folks start marching into the SCOTUS wearing crowns of thorns and carrying crosses like they came barging in Handmaid's Tale regalia? Maybe they would like a full re-enactment of the end of The Hunger Games showtrial ending? How about people re-enacting the Boston Tea Party from the gallery to the floor or something?

Then someone can stall because they didn't get the nominee's long form birth certificate and copies of every essay he wrong in 1st grade.

Good luck. He embodies his constituents, in that all is fair because they believe they are on the right side of history, rules and regulations be damned if it means sticking to those horrid Conservatives (meaning anyone right of center left).

We can deny it until the cows come home, but every Supreme Court selection is political. Overturning Roe vs. Wade is the underlying reason for this conservative pick. For conservatives to always complain that government should stay out of the personal lives of Americans, it's rather hypocritical of them to decide upon a women's and family decision that could drastically affect their lives or that of the unborn.

Americans have every right to know everything about a Supreme Court appointment. In addition, we elect our representatives to be transparent and to negotiate in good faith on behalf of the interests of the American people. Conservatives have not been transparent with this appointment let alone honest and transparent about our current president. When over 60% of Americans support the ruling of Roe vs. Wade, all the complaints about this selection is justified. These Supreme Court candidates should all be extremely scrutinized since they are to be politically impartial on their decisions.

Is it theatrics or is it laying out the credentials and beliefs of this candidate who will be serving on the bench for life? This isn't a 2 year position that should be taken lightly and whisked through the vetting process! What's the conservative's rush to appoint this candidate (...Roe vs. Wade)? Don't make me laugh and act like this appointment is not politically motivated by Republicans. You conservatives always want to attack democrats when republicans do exactly the same thing.

We've got major problems with our political system. Instead of working to appoint a Supreme Court Justice based upon what the "majority" of Americans want, congress is electing them based only on their political party ideology and allegiance. Is that representing the beliefs of all Americans? Absolutely not.

Republicans are not obstructionists? It's funny how conservatives look at themselves as being better than what they really are. Justifying and supporting this conservative president that goes against the basic values and decency of what America stands for speaks volumes for your party.

Everything released seems to point towards K not being influenced by Race, and equally so, not giving any preference to anyone or any group based on their race or ethnicity.

And as we all know... That type of action is racist !

So you're saying the dems bashing the constitution for preventing "progressive" policies is less anti American than installing a judge that will uphold it. Ok then, good luck with that.

Fine. Keep Roe v Wade, and get rid of planned parenthood.
