Something's not right. A Trump "resistor" wouldn't tell the New York Times what he's up to. Not while his mission is ongoing. Can anyone be THAT stupid?

This must be a Democrat-planted FAKE story.

Trump doesn't think so. The WH staff and cabinet are in total melt down. Finger pointing and leaks are the order of the day.

Must be quite a party....

No it wasnt Mike Pence he has way to much to lose by doing this. I think its rather obvious after reading the op ed who it is. You can tell whoever it was is concerned with foreign policy. At first, i thought of Mike Pompeo but again he has a lot to lose when this comes out. And trust me the person that wrote it knew it would eventually be known. So who is it you ask? Dan Coats director of national intelligence, You have to realize he has already argued with Trump publicly and he was a huge friend of McCain they were friends for decades. I suspect the funeral made him decide to write the op ed.

Mistake or not, let's say it is him and Trump is removed based on the 25th amendment. Pence becomes POTUS and there's nothing Trump can do but cry on Twitter like he always does.

Do I want a Pence presidency? Hell no, but I don't want Trump either. I guess in this case, I'll have to settle for the lesser of two evils.

How ironic that’s the very thing that got Trump elected being the lesser of two evils.

I would suggest that the NYT is in a spot of bother.
They have been conspiring with an individual who is trying to undermine the govt of the USA.
The move to make is for Trump to order Investigation and have Mr Slim and his editor reveal everything they know.... which will result in one of 3 things.

1) they get enough from the NYT to find the person
2) It's revealed that the NYT know nothing and just printed a story with no verification at all... humiliating their publication.
3) NYT refuse to cooperate. Editor and owner sent to jail.

All good outcomes.

CNN has depicted the White House staff as being in either "total meltdown", or "total chaos", for 2 years now. Meanwhile economic and world peace indicators keep going up and up.

That's excellent and logical way to get to the bottom of this latest "exclusive" from the NYT.

The President never says anything at all about Dan Coates, does he?

Not exactly true he specifically mentions him when he meets with Putin. This is why in the op ed it mentions siding with dictators. This is why i know its Dan Coats

www.cnn.com...

If its Coats who you say has not much to lose, why would he use the word 'lodestar' , a word that everyone know Pence use quite often? What would be his angle to put this on Pence?

I have never been a fan of Pence. However if he has true faith in what Jesus preached, I will support him even though I do no follow organized religion.

My point if Pence is anon on this....he has earned respect and honor from me.

I doubt it is Pence. This was in the opening paragraph of the op-ed that published the letter:

a senior official in the Trump administration whose identity is known to us and whose job would be jeopardized by its disclosure

1. Pence isn't an "official"; he is Vice President; and
2. The VP can't be fired, so his job would not/could not be in jeopardy.

Which is why I think this is a setup by Trump himself to take out the NYT.

Wow. Just wow. Here is the man you think can destroy American journalism with a stealthy blow:

Every word in that Op/Ed piece is true. You know it in your heart of hearts and simply refuse to believe that you could have been so mistaken. There is no Q. There is no Deep State. There is only a confused old man and the people trying to keep this country running.

No 0ne has more to gain from outing Trump's incompetency and no one is more capable of stabbing their boss in the back. By this time next year we may well have manditory daily church or a Paul Ryan presidency.....who is fourth in the succession line?

This November the religous right and the far left team up to defeat trump. Forget about our important convictions over such topics as abortion; we can finally put that aside and come together because the implications of using Twitter while being the president are much much worse. "My body my choice"? "Dont kill babies"? No no "The enemy of my enemy is my freind"! Once we get rid of the guy that constantly takes us off script we can get back to our regularly scheduled politics.

The "religious right" put him in office. Divorces, grabbing women, running casinos, getting multiple divorces... none of that matters to the devout. Trump's their guy.
