Have we reached a new level of political madness? Is the president of the United States this clueless? Or is he playing people like a fiddle?

Yes, he actually said this at an Indiana rally:

Rally video

The rally included the usual boasts and rants such as the president taking credit for making the current U.S. economy the best in the "history of our country," which, by the way, is not true. At all. He also slammed the Justice Department in light of his ongoing feud with Attorney-General Jeff Sessions. And, of course, the president railed against "fake news."

However, as is tradition, Trump made at least one comment during his rambling speech that left many scratching their heads. He suggested the country needed to stop Democrats because they want to disrupt in order to replace Medicare with socialism.

“They want to raid Medicare to pay for socialism,” Trump said as the crowd expressed agreement via loud boos.

Source

Of course the crowd loved it. Trump's perfect Demographic just nodding their heads at the Don with anything that comes out of his mouth. But look maybe I'm being unfair here? Maybe the views of Medicare have changed? It's no longer socialism? Long are the days when Reagan himself and other GOPers referred to Medicare as the start of a communist takeover (he later changed his stance when he ran for president in the 80s mind you). Nevermind the fact the President and his party have proposed cuts to Medicare over this year alone. Putting that aside, Medicare is the exception to socialism now I take it?

lala land.

So predictable. Tax cuts for the wealthy, plunging the US into further deficit, that Paul Ryan & Co. always planned to pay for by gutting the social safety net, Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, cuts to Social Security and Welfare. Then get Trump to blame Democrats for sounding the alarm and campaigning against it. His base will buy it, to their own detriment.

Didn't see any outrage from the Progs when Obamacare screwed Medicare out of money. Remember, "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor."?

Just more faux outrage, because "Trump".

Yes, "you people".

You people go into conniption fits at the drop of that phrase because you're idiots. What's the difference between "you people" and "you guys"? If anything, the latter is sexist and patriarchal, but I don't see anyone going apes# over that.

You people and your f# word games.

Trump IS responsible for the economy
thehill.com...

Obama never achieved above 4% growth, never achieved Trump's employment numbers.

In addition, look at the stock charts of X or NUE since Trump was elected, industries that according to Obama "Those jobs aren't coming back".

Since when have Democrats given two apples about the deficit? Bill Clinton was the last Democratic President to do something with the economy. Bush 43's economy was terrible thanks to end less war. Under Obama we were told that 2% was the best we could do (GDP growth). Yet Trump comes along, promises 4% and actually delivers 4.1%

All Americans should be happy our economy/stock market is doing well. If you haven't yet, not too late to invest in some companies (recommend defense like RTN, Boeing, Lockheed)

This explains a lot of the problems we're facing in this country. When you look at how many laws/regulations/government itself simply do not make sense, and it is easy to understand why. These people are generally complete idiots, and our government is filled with them. I'd say at a 10:1 ratio at least

Frightening

"We don't anticipate that"
