Well, I won't derail the subject of the thread again but I don't think you've seen what I was talking about.

Look for "No Name" (John McCain) on the Q drops and it's your call if there's any correlation or not with his death.

Someone sent this link to me, I am watching it now.
Seems reasonable information about McCain...he was no angel.

Also, why did McCain work so hard to hide information about
POW's after he returned home?

Things I didn't know until today, I waited until he was in the ground.

Another question, why did Senator McCain urge the Senate to vote
no on Gina Haspel, when he voted yes on John Brennan?

Because he didn't want the exposures to continue.

Nobody is perfect. But I always had a lot of respect for Mr. McCain.

A lot of this "dirt" about John McCain's past has really come to the forefront in the last few years. But, I don't think even that totally erases an otherwise honorable career.

Furthermore, the type of dirt being dug up about Senator McCain is no worse than any other political garbage being exposed against any other politician, including the current President.

So, I'll go with my gut, and give Mr. McCain the benefit of the doubt. I honor both his military and political service to this country.

And may he rest in peace.

It is very easy to find the dirt on McCain because all of the
liberals wrote about him with disdain until Trump made
him a liberal cause hero.

It is funny. the liberals refer to a republican that pushes the liberal agenda as a great man that compromises, but, if a liberal were to campaign on liberal values then vote with republicans he would be called a traitor and threatened by the libs.

It is funny, in a strange kind of way. I think there must have
been a handful of people that knew McCain could be
influenced and swayed with certain triggers.

I thank him for his service, yet reading accurate accounts
it seems he encountered mental challenges in his captivity
that left him vulnerable.

And not being a fan of lifer politicians, I can't thank him
for decades in the Senate.

The intervention in Libya was not at all any invention of John McCain, it was actually decided by Barack Obama and his First State Secretary Hillary Clinton, an idea that of course was not well minded, they never really projected the consequences in the long run of what they were supporting, a wave of instability and anarchy to a region that was pretty stable along decades.

McCain as other Republicans knew that there are two different wars that can be fought, the ones in which there is something really valuable to win or a lot to loose if they are not fought correctly, this was since the beginning a war in which it was not clear the payoff.

The wave of Arab revolutions was punishing not only LIbya but Egypt and Tunisia, as well, and also sending a negative message to everybody planning a rebellion in Turkey, Morrocco or Saudi Arabia, and in those countries there were so many strategic interests in danger, by boosting the conflict against Muammar El Gaddafi they were endorsing in many aspects a war that was also weakening at the same time the ally regime of Egypt.

If we compare what it was apparently won in LIbya with what is on risk in Egypt, in particular what such a conflict represents for Israel it is straightforward that USA might never have supported any revolution in that region.
