The Peace of God to all that belong to the Light,
Dear Readers,

It has been so much compelling the death and funeral of Senator and former Republican Nominee Cpt. John McCain after a brave battle with Cancer of so many months, he becomes after Senator Edward Kennedy the second outstanding figure that died of this same type of illness on the brain.

To talk about McCain is to refer to a kind of unique American that felt the respect and love for his own nation until the very deep of his bones, he suffered all the worst that an American may for the defense of his ideals, principles and values, and He also shined the best of the virtues that identify American in the concert of nations.

As a Republican John McCain can be classified as a liberal one, and in that sense he was definitively a very important element in to try to balance a party that became Great in the American History as a liberal force, under President Abraham Lincoln, and also under President Theodore Roosevelt, balancing that vocation for progressivism with the Conservatism that well has characterized that same party on the last decades.

In that sense his role was very similar to the one of Former Governor and also Former VicePresident Nelson Rockefeller in the 1970s, it was a very difficult position since he understood that the extreme right wing has pushed Republicanism far outward of their original political ideals, divorcing them from the social needs and preferences of the vast majority of the nation.

Please check:
www.theguardian.com...

However, He was Not a controversial man, neither a conflictive one, but a conciliatory that represented a genuine love for his nation that went well beyond any partisan position, he was a dialogue one and of great agreements, being able to talk constructively either with Conservatives, liberals and even Socialists. It is not for free to have seen Native Americans, Veterans, Hispanic altogether mourning him.

This because he was also part of a very well established tradition of service to the country within the Arm forces, He had a very clear picture of what were the fundamental shared values and principles that Unite all the Americans as well as what can be the ones that divide them in a destructive way.

He no doubt behaved as a Hero on Vietnam war, it is absolutely unacceptable to try to undermine him with improper comments just because he tried to warn Mr Trump of his errors in to show himself so closely to fascism and other extreme totalitarian ideas or racist forces like the Ku Klux Clan or the Minute men, obsessed to make a sort of ethnical cleaning operation against Muslim African Americans and Hispanic minorities.

Please check:

McCain had all his right to express that concerns, he was actually helping when he warned that such a political path was wrong since it is against the core of the respect to civil Rights values that American has been defending along many generations and are even present in the preamble of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

The Attack against his person was so low and unfair, being prisoner has Nothing to do with his Military performance, even the famous Napoleon Buonaparte became prisoner of war in Waterloo battle and even worst he died in that condition in St Elena without being able to return free to write more important pages of the History of his nation, as John McCain certainly did so.

General George Custer died fighting under the Sioux people after he was a brilliant Hero on many battle fields of the American Civil war, without forgetting that President John Kennedy as well as President George H.W. Bush both were severely attacked by the enemy, their ships sunk in the ocean and were close to die in combat.

To Say that McCain or his family are antifeminist since they didn't have Sarah Palin in his funeral present is absolutely false and hypocritical, really cheap rhetoric.

There were many willing to run with him to the white house, even in the opposite party, but He chose that so controversial and unexperienced lady as his runner mate in the election he was the Republican Nominee, he wanted to see a woman in high job on the white house and not to destroy one in running for it.

It was her who failed dramatically by hiding various grave family scandals while accepting the nomination, as well as her poor performance along a lot of subsequent political actuations including her endorsement of Donald Trump after he had insulted not just Johh McCain but also Senators Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio and also Governor Jeb Bush as well as former President George W Bush in the same horrendous campaign.

Trump has had a unique opportunity to offer not only the condolences he has been obligated due respect to a major political figure of his own party but the apologize everybody is willing to hear from his mouth of the unfortunate, unfair and wrong things he said against McCain, there are comments that must be fully clarified and wounds to be healed, unfortunately until now we have not seen it coming in a proper way, at least on one that matches the original so grave and unfortunate remarks that offended so much to a great man.

Please check:
www.usatoday.com...

My prayers now are of course for the final rest of this unique fine Gentleman, very rare to be found on politics right now, but also that President Trump understand at last in this hour what is right to be done urgently on time before it becomes too much late for him and his cause.

A Genuine Great man can be identified for the height of his acts, the clean way to defend his cause, his ability to recognize mistakes and his talent in to try to amend them in a proper way, understanding that public offenses can not be fixed with private excuses.

Megan McCain Eulogy to his father funeral: The America of John McCain is generous and welcoming and bold, She is resourceful and confident and secure. She meets her responsibilities. She speaks quietly because she is strong. America does not boost because She has not need to. The America of John McCain has no need to be made great again because America was always Great.

Lets be Clear about 3 important aspects here, avoiding a controversy that only insensate judgement may try to boost from a Negative misinterpretation of Megan McCain words:

1) it is not John McCain who needed any well deserved apologize from any body else, he was far beyond the need of more Honors in his so impressive curriculum of service to the Nation.

2) it was primarily the Nation who needed to be washed out from a weird political campaign that has no precedents in History for what even Trump called after he won a so vicious tone.

3) Moreover it is an administration on siege that need so badly to be healed in order to be trusted, to fit on the expectations and the real needs of the American People at least two years after it has arrived to power.

Thanks for your attention,

Peace on his Tomb for Senator and Nominee John McCain,

The Angel of Lightness

What a load of BS.

McCain was no hero, and even if he's really dead, so what?

No one is obligated to mourn every politician that dies. Especially Trump, who was uninvited to his funeral.

But yea, may he find the peace he never looked for while in D.C.

And that's it.

McCain politically was a Progressive, as is Bush, Obama, et al. His reaching across the aisle was merely to vote with his fellow Democrat progressives, nothing more.

Progressivism is incompatible with a Democratic Republic. Those of us that wish to "conserve" a constitutional United States of America realize that. We do not wish the "fundamental transfomation" of our country. We do not want a tyrannical government, which is the end result of progressive policies.

If that means that we are going to be called the "extreme right", fine.

We are not going away... ever.

See you in the midterms.

President Trump offered his “deepest sympathies and respect” to the family of Senator John McCain on Saturday night, setting aside a yearslong, bitter and often deeply personal feud between the two men that had lasted into the senator’s final days. The president shared his condolences in a tweet, shortly after it was announced that Mr. McCain, who had been battling brain cancer, had died. “Our hearts and prayers are with you!” he said. The White House flag was lowered to half-staff on Saturday night in honor of Mr. McCain.

If it wasn't for his feud with Trump, McCain ' s funeral would just be a blurb on the news, instead of the manufactured event that it was.

Lol, good one.

Just a heads up but you accidentally put this in the history forum and not the jokes forum.

I think you are playing to a group of people who are unaware that "patriotism" is to a country, not to an individual.
Also it seems like they are too young (or something, heh) to understand the meaning of 'bipartisanship", and that our country won't really work without it.

That's because he was one of the worst scumbags in DC.

But the lefties were used to wear their blinders on this because he constantly attacked Trump.

Is there a theory floating around that he isn't really dead (aside from the antichrist one)?

Gotta give the man due credit. We never would have had president Barack Obama without him.

Just so you know, Mohicans are a real people. I'm pretty sure McCain wasn't one. Even if he was one, he wasn't the last since there are approximately 3,500 alive today.

The sum of the secrets McCain has sought to hide is not small. There exists a telling mass of official documents, radio intercepts, witness depositions, satellite photos of rescue symbols that pilots were trained to use, electronic messages from the ground containing the individual code numbers given to airmen, a rescue mission by a Special Forces unit that was aborted twice by Washington and even sworn testimony by two defense secretaries that "men were left behind." This imposing body of evidence suggests that a large number–probably hundreds–of the US prisoners held in Vietnam were not returned when the peace treaty was signed in January 1973 and Hanoi released 591 men, among them Navy combat pilot John S. McCain.

The pressure from the families and Vietnam veterans finally produced the creation, in late 1991, of a Senate "Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs." The chair was John Kerry, but McCain, as a POW, was its most pivotal member. In the end, the committee became part of the debunking machine.

Included in the evidence that McCain and his government allies suppressed or tried to discredit is a transcript of a senior North Vietnamese general’s briefing of the Hanoi Politburo, discovered in Soviet archives by an American scholar in the 1990s. The briefing took place only four months before the 1973 peace accords. The general, Tran Van Quang, told the Politburo members that Hanoi was holding 1,205 American prisoners but would keep many of them at war’s end as leverage to ensure getting reparations from Washington.

Two defense secretaries who served during the Vietnam War testified to the Senate POW committee in September 1992 that prisoners were not returned. James Schlesinger and Melvin Laird, secretaries of defense under Nixon, said in a public session and under oath that they based their conclusions on strong intelligence data–letters, eyewitness reports, even direct radio contacts. Under questioning, Schlesinger chose his words carefully, understanding clearly the volatility of the issue: "I think that as of now that I can come to no other conclusion…some were left behind."

www.thenation.com...

For someone who was a prisoner of war it is despicable to not go after the one's who were left behind. That is when McCain was seen for what he really was. He was never a hero, he killed any hope of the release of the other Prisoners.

Probably yes. I haven't followed any theory so far but I think it's a strange timing for him to decide to turn off the equipment.

Also there were Q posts (yup) that predicted exactly the day he supposedly died, 30 days before.

Closed coffin too supports the theory.

But who knows...

All I know is that when he was elected to Congress I was in the Navy. The First Class Petty Officer that supervised the shop I worked in said "That MotherF*@ker will go far in politics!" He was McCain ' s plane captain on the Forrestal.

Exactly.

The amount of love the Left is showing the man shows you that.

They hated him just as much as any other Republican till Trump ranked higher on their Hate Scale.

He never saw an opportunity for War he didn't like.

Praising someone like him is not something I will do.

He is dead, now we move on.........
