I was referring to the ones who haven't yet acted on those impulses. How do you help them, so that they don't act in the future?

Chemically castrate them.
Isolate them in their own communities.
Don't give them the opportunity to act on their desire.....the cycle has to be broken, and that requires some hard choices.

By not making their lives hell for one.

As you said, hoping for abstinence doesn't last forever.
Eventually they will act upon their urges and thus make someone else's life a misery....

Make their lives a misery to save a child's misery?
Easy choice to me.

So punish before guilt?

What else can we do?

You yourself acknowledge that paedophile's will eventually act upon their desires, why give them the opportunity?

Chemically castrate them.
Build isolated communities for them but do not give them the chance to ruin a child's life.

A child's life is far more important than mollycoddling a paedophile!

Harsh I know, but sometimes life is very harsh and we need to make hard decisions.

Unless someone can convince me that there is a more compassionate yet effective means of dealing with paedophilia that is my opinion.

Surely the guilt in these cases is masturbating over images of children, that is why owning such images is a crime.
I'd treat people who do that the same as those who actually commit the abuse and share the images.
Yep, locked away from society for good or offered a drug overdose to save taxpayers money.
It is only the humanitarian side of me which offers a painless overdose, I wouldn't complain if authorities killed them painfully though, not something I would protest about at Parliament.

....they are gaining strength in their quest to legitimize their heinous acts.

Please show me any credible evidence that there is increasing support to legalise paedophilia?

Congressional Candidate In Virginia Admits He’s A Pedophile

TEDx talk under review

Many are no longer hiding. Their internet presence in increasing numbers are allowing then to unite and to increase their push for normalization.

Excellent examples of the slow and insidious way that it is being programmed for acceptance. During the TED talk did you see any of the audience speak out? No we are programmed to be good people and find acceptance of anything they throw at us...

The Congressional Candidate is the one which shocks me most, he'd be lynched and burnt out if he was open about his lust for children here.
Honestly, he would be forced into hiding or police protection, I don't care if it violated his rights to lust over kids, I'd turn a blind eye to the pitchforks and flaming torches.

How do you treat the problem through when they cannot even supervise accordingly the beasts that do touch weans after they are released from what amounts to 4-year gaol sentence(2 if they behave)?

If we don't have the resources or the government does not have the inclination to tackle the problems associated with these bastards realistically then whats a person to do other than take action into there own hands?

Truly sickening; now I understand why only 144,000 will be saved.

Do you think it is why the UK hasn't gone down the US route of publishing addresses of paedo's after they are released from prison? I'm amazed they don't all get burned out in the US.
It just wouldn't work in the UK, heck our youths would have a field day paedo bashing, they would be beaten to death very quickly.

I probably wouldn't get involved in the public lynching myself but I'd turn a blind eye as most people would. I can't even imagine anyone who isn't a paedo who would give a statement to cops if they saw it happen.
I wonder how paedo's manage to stay alive in the US when their addresses are public knowledge? Maybe US citizens don't mind having paedo neighbours or something.

Oh i get it now. Your right to download free movies/music is more important than stopping a heinous crime. Gotcha.

Its not about the punishment......we can all agree they need a special kind of detention. It is the fact that government wont or cant act on the info that they already posess.

The act is a crime already....with punishments attached. People get more upset when someone kicks a freakin seagull than they do about this. I dont get it.

I'm not sure, but I don't think that punishments and cutting people off from treatment is the right answer. They can't help the way they feel, but society can encourage them to not give in. It won't work for everyone but it will stop a few. If we go straight to punishment we guarantee that most will act out against children, and I would rather focus on reducing harm.

Unless someone can convince me that there is a more compassionate yet effective means of dealing with paedophilia that is my opinion.

Would you stop being attracted to whoever you're attracted to just because someone threatened to throw you in prison for feeling that way?

Many would be killed and burnt out very quickly for sure. How come they manage to stay alive in the US when neighbours know who they are?
Honestly they'd be killed here for sure.

No, it's because child porn is abusive and leads to thousands of sex crimes against children. Supporting such pornography groups in turn funds sex crimes against children. That's why there's no law against people of age who look younger, and why there's no law against CGI of children.

That sounds very similar to the attitude we used to have towards gay people.

Keep it underground and kill the witnesses.

This post is about the UK and yes there are laws making it illegal to own or distribute CGI images of child sex abuse etc. Fake images are banned the same as real ones here.
Crown Prosecution Service
Now you may argue that allowing fake images provides an outlet for paedos without the abuse but I think it just validates their lust so agree with the ban.
Lock em up or option to free drug overdose is my opinion, I know we will never find agreement over that though.

Yes, and the law was wrong so it was changed.
Are you really comparing consenting gay sex with people screwing little kids now? Really?

Murder is illegal so unless it was your child and you had hard evidence....then nobody wiuld try it on.
They are tracked with bracelets so the cops know where they are at all times. So people feel reasonably safe.

How so?

Do gay people molest children? Nope that's pedophiles I'm afraid.

I know plenty of homosexuals and they dont tamper with weans, because they know its deplorably wrong, just like most normal people do.

Like i said how do we address the problems associated with these bastards realistically when our government refuses to do so?

Nothing to do with gay people plenty to do with pedo scum.

Answer my query please without clouding the issue.
