You voted for Trump? Are you happy with him?

I've liked more of the things he's done than disliked.

I'm not an ideologue like leftists.

There isn't a script that I follow or obey.

I wish he'd lay off the illegals so much.

But we can always get what we want.

Do you believe it possible that you are in fact following a script, you just are not aware of it ?

I am following a script, I will always side with freedom I will always side with the Constitution.

Period.

DAMMIT BOY! Well said. I feel the same.

How can you go wrong if you always support the Constitution and freedom?

That means everyone who argues against you is against freedom and the Constitution,

Again, you libs claim he is stupid or incompetent, what does that say about he libs/establishment that they can not beat him?

What it's says is they're so desperate to obscure the fact that they were indeed beat by Trump that they need to blame it on the Russian boogeyman rather than admit their own incompetence. Exactly the same playbook Hillary used when she lost - blaming everyone else besides herself.

For what it's worth I don't do politics.

But one thing I have noticed, is that people/parties from either side will never ever entertain each others ideas/policies. I mean like children, they will instantly dismiss anything each other says, just because "they (the opposition) said it"

I'd rather look at something calmy and objectively from a NON political stand point, before dismissing it just because the opposite party is pro/anti it.

I just find politics to be blind ignorance these days.

Politics = Lies

It's not that he lies, but because he is also honest to a fault.

People don't want an honest person, they want nice words. soothing oration.

It's okay to be lied to if it is said in a smooth cadence.

Name me one politician that has never lied.

Set a standard.

Do it now.

I dare you.

DO IT NOW!

Are you defending Trump? Really - he is without precedent

You are correct - he is without precedent. Maybe that’s what the US needed.

As another poster pointed out there politicians over there who’ve been in post for decades. How many more Bush/Clinton family members are being prepared for a tilt at the top job. Hillary will likely run again and Chelsea will undoubtedly be lined up. You’ve already had a couple of members of the Bush family + Jeb tried. The politics are built on generations worth of back door deals and schemes. Surely people want a change - something new to vote for. To be better for everyone.

My biggest let down with Obama was he promised that change. He failed to deliver and his policies sowed the seeds of discord across the US political scene. He courted celebrity and was all about the photo op - his policies pretty much sucked. Iraq/Afghanistan/Syria/Libya all disasters due to corruption and political manoeuvring. Obamacare his flagship policy hated by millions. Racial tensions heightened nationally. Not all his fault but he was in the hot seat.

Trump is different, the Democrats hate him and the Republicans didn’t want him. But he still won. I honestly believe he is trying to do something about the corruption - although not necessarily in the best way.

I can but hope that when all the investigations end the dust clears that the US can unite behind the outcome. We need the US leading on the world stage to tackle the issues facing us as a global society.

They aren't politicians, they are Cartels.

Maybe the Trump family are just trying to fit in with the big boys but the constant media barrage suggests otherwise.

Of course all of that could just be smoke and mirrors but all of this is unlike anything we've witnessed before.

I'd have to write an essay to make a proper reply to this post. But, I'll spare you - and myself while I'm at it. That's the intelligent and thoughtful reply I was looking for

We used to be able to agree to disagree in this country. We used to be able to compromise. This is no longer possible apparently - it's a problem that might take generations to solve. We don't really have that kind of time

That you and I can look at the same things and see them so differently is another kind of problem. I really don't have any ideas about how to fix that one either

Trump did win. I'm sure the backlash does look irrational, especially if you believe Trump is fighting for the people. Extra if you hate the people you see as opponents. You don't seem to fall into that category

I can but hope that when all the investigations end the dust clears that the US can unite behind the outcome. We need the US leading on the world stage to tackle the issues facing us as a global society.

This is what I'm hoping for too

The second you said "he is without precedent" you have completely discredited yourself.

The left are the ones that took it to the point where you can't even disagree anymore, not the right

If California can forgive previous marijuana crimes now that it has been legalized in the state, the rest of the libs should forgive draft-dodgers since the draft is no longer used.

Yet here you are perpetuating that divide, for the healing to begin both sides need to compromise.

Not to mention I will forever disagree with taking this country on a socialist path which is where the left seems hell bent on taking it, so yeah I fear we are beyond reconciliation

Show me your evidence . Make it etched in stone not from dubious sources, opinion articles or citing someone with a degree from YouTube University .

Let's see what you have .

I don't have a side to conceed.I dislike them both that why I can see from a neutral perspective.

I was simply pointing out statements like " its the lefts fault not the right " achieves nothing note than more finger pointing.

I think both sides of government are looking to increase socialism, one side seems to be trying to get there openly the other subvertly.
