I agree with the OP 100%.
That is not even real news. It's petty and small of them.
You'd think in the Age where most people are turning against all left leaning MSM that the one biggest right wing outlet would have the Integrity to stay above such tabloid gossip!

Faux Pau news is more like it.

I am calling my mother to encourage she cancel her subscription

Hold on, this is the same news network that goes on about lazy welfare recipients and Americans refusing to do hands on work? This news network.

Jesus.

Doubtful. Being a lazy welfare recipient has exactly nothing to do with a former actor working at Trader Joe's. We dont know his circumstances but if I were to hazard a guess I would assume he was bankrupted by socialist losers leeching off his success and had to pick up a part time job.

I think sg was under the impression that he could get someone triggered by knocking on Fox news. You need not take him seriously, he wrecked his own credibility here a while back with deceitful and false thread titles.

I see this as Bill Cosby's fault. All the reruns from the Cosby show was pulled from thr air. So that money stopped coming in for these actors that were on the show. Similar thing happened with Roseanne as well. She destroyed her shows marketability meaning no residuals for the actors.

This is what we get when profit is the main motivator of content. I don't blame capitalism , I blame greed.

Instead of just not having a story or running a feel good piece all these outlets on this slow news day decided to do the thing that gets the most clicks......make fun of someone.

I really wish someone would start a new all news nothing but news , news station.
If nothing is going on that maters then don't write or show anything . Or just use nice stories as the filler if you must be a 24/7 station.

I love Geoffrey Owens' character on Always Sunny. He plays himself but he's always trying to say he's somebody else. Like telling a football team he was some famous player as a paid endorsement or making a sex worker thing he was Tiger Woods.

He's a better actor now then he was back in the Cosby Show. Personally, I think it's rad that he can work a wage job and still take gigs on the side. Sounds like he's just playing it smart and FOX is just playing it dumb.

Hey guys, I'm Donovan McNabb. I play quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. And I'm here to tell you can, too, if you start everyday with a hearty breakfast from McDonald's. Uh, like the new Sausage Egg McGriddle Value Meal available now for a limited time for under five dollars. Remember guys, real champs eat at McDonald's. I'm lovin' it.

Epically funny.

I also salute this guy. How many former stars, that were living with great amounts of wealth and fame, are able to return to a realistic normal life once their luck runs out? Don't they usually go out in a ball of fire or overdose as they don't have the mental strength for an honest job? Or they whore themselves out on infomercials or selling legal drugs to the populace on TV. Those are the real losers in my mind, the ones that sell out before considering honor.

This guy to me shows strength and honesty. But if you don't have a high paying job sucking off of the productivity of others, then you are to be ridiculed by mainstream. Its in the script.

Some people like seeing a video rather than reading.

I asked opinions on it before and some people said they liked it, but again if the overall consensus would be they dont like it I would stop.

Hahahaha!

Thanks, I would definitely comment on that thread!

I would like to have ATS people livestream with me, particularly people that disagree with me.

I think that would be a great way for people to see ATS can have people with great points that disagree that can still have fun with each other and be polite.

I would be ten times better than all of the carp you see on the media with just two sides screaming at each other.

At least he has a real job and works to earn his living, unlike those no-talent overpaid entertainers in sports & Hollyweird

The fact they make more in a year than the real average American makes in an entire life time should speak volumes to all of us. Yet the artificial left vs. right divide is still alive and well

Some things will never change

Man this really irks me.

I am not a frequent visitor to fox news, but I will check out all msm outlets once in a while

I happen to check it out tonight and this was the article listed fourth from the top.

"Cosby Show" alum Geoffrey Owens, who played Elvin Tibideaux, the young doctor who married into the Cosby family on the famous sitcom, was photographed working at a Trader Joe's in New Jersey.

www.foxnews.com...

The tag line was "Big time to bag time". AAnd there is a picture of the former cosby show actor looking like an old man, wigth a grey beard and a belly.

The article was about interviewing him or anything like that. Just that some guy saw this former actor bagging groceries.

It was purely designed to make fun of him.

I think that sucks.

First, it dimished fox as a news outlet, as if it could be diminished more.

And it makes them look petty and moronic.

My take is at least the guy has a job. He is not breaking the law, he is not just setting at home living off the government. He is working.

And by the way, bagging groceries is a tough job. Now you may think yeah right, but I am telling you any service job where you have to deal with people sucks. Anyone having a bad day takes it all out pn you.

And i find it funny fox thinks bagging groceries is so shameful they need to pick on this man.

Well no grocery bagger has ever caused half the damage the main stream media has.

Remember when grocery baggers lies us into the Iraq war? Oh wait that was fox mews and their msm pals

At this point, if i worked at fox or cnn or the nyt or any msm outlet, I wouldnt have the nerve to make fun of anyones job.

And yes, I know that almost all news sites have garbage stories like this. But for some reason this just set me off.

I wish this actor the est and I hope he knows that there is no shame in working a job to provide for your family.

Well unless that job is working for the main stream media.

The person that originally took the photos was probably just drooling at all the "hits" his site would get on social media when it goes "viral". Then the vulture MSM found it and couldn't wait to pick at the bones of this.

I admire the guy for working. He could be living off the memories of his 10 minutes of fame, but he is leading a productive life. They should be honoring him for being one of the few that was balanced enough to just move on when his star fell. He sounds like he has some humility and isn't afraid to work.

Pretty sad when ad revenue comes before truth and impartial reporting. Every major media outlet is guilty of pandering to a certain demographic in order to keep them coming back to fuel their ads.

It has always been about "ad revenue". The media exists to make money. It is a business. Plain and simple. It is under no obligation to tell the truth or inform you.
