Its two pronged but everyone likes to make it out as you are for it or against it.

Most of the stuff that people really get angry about is upper level GS stuff where they get paid for showing up but rarely actually working.

Lets look at the other end, I was a WG 10 made about 25 an hour in Oklahoma (very livable wage), you can get hired for as little as a 18 thousand a year with an hourly wage.

So please remember if your pissed about the GS 100k + year with a horrible work record then target your anger cause there are a lot of people working for the fed making a lot less than those GS guys, and doing the heavy lifting in the day to day work.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t he still doing this job for free. By free I mean doesn’t he donate every thing he makes as President to a cause.
If so, seems like he’s walking the walk

But hey, those golf trips aren’t free, and that’s certainly not coming out of his own pocket.

Neither were Obummer's.

Hey, the guy needs a vacation. He has the weight of the country on his shoulders. Double the weight of libtards hounding and scrutinizing his every single move. If the guy takes a pee, he gets hounded because it went just a tad to the right or he didn't hit the urinal cake just right.

Unfortunately it costs a lot of man hours to keep him safe to make sure one of those crazy tards don't try to snipe him. It comes with the territory. We go through this every term, on one side or the other.

Sorry... It costs a lot of money to walk outside the whitehouse door. Hell, it costs a lot just to be in there surrounded by security. Face it. Dumb people want to do bodily harm to the guy... anyone who's occupying that position at any given time.

Give up the golf thing for a change. Obama did it. Clinton did it. Georgey did it. It comes with the territory. The guy can't be all work all the time. I'm sure even then he's thinking about what has to be done.

But Obama didn’t throw his federal employees under the bus when it came to their salaries.

If Trump reeeaaallllyy wants to save money for the government, give up those golf trips. Find a cheaper distraction, like, oh say... a hooker or two.

That's all fine and dandy, and I agree, but how someone can defend a 200 billion increase in military spending but then mention pay freezes for state employees are reigning over government spending... The irony is strong.

Not really... military personnel haven't had a decent pay raise since Reagan's first term. Hell, Obama was pretty much starving them out... raises UNDER cost of living increases.

As opposed to federal workers, whose pay increases just go on and on and on...

Or possibly not sending the wife and kids to China on our dime, or things like that, right?

Obama was called the Vacation Dad in Chief... spent over 71 million on family vacations.

As opposed to someone who declined to be paid to be President and donates his salary to worthy causes.

You are comparing apples to socialists.

The left often forgets that Trump owns 17 golf courses, so it's not like he's paying to play, as it were.

So it's an even worse analogy then they think.

(I said the left thinks... my apologies for typing that.)

If Trump really wanted to cut spending, he'd fire 50% of government workers.

Nah, he just made WWII vets break into their own monument and cancelled little kids field trips.

I doubt if the federal workers will die because they don't get a pay raise.

This does nothing to stop step increases which are more money than a pay raise.

I retired in 2012, made $103,000.00 in 2011.

If I hadn't retired, I would have been close to 120,000.00 by now.

Dec 2010-Sept 2014 I was a Federal employee and we did not get a single cost of living adjustment of any sort under Obama.

This is normal business for democrats and republicans, its why the Federal system has regular pay raises built into the position the only limit is a position is usually limited for example GS 5 target 8, or WG 8 target 10, don't kill your boss, molest kids, or torture animals and you wont get fired.

The cost of Trump's golf rounds to the American taxpayer varies by round and course, but it has totaled so far in the tens of millions of dollars.

Maybe not but he sure threw me and other blue collar people under the bus!

Where do I start... Oh yeah... Universal healthcare was supposed to make it so EVERYONE could go to the doctor when needed. Before that stupid terrible mistake, I could pay my copay and go to a doctor and didn't have to worry about going broke or paying a doctor bill.

Now... NO ONE can afford to go to the doctor. There is no more co-pay only plans. Now.. I have to go to the doctor at LEAST 15 times in a year BEFORE my 80% off kicks in. Before then, I'm paying out of pocket!!!

Why? Because of being thrown under the bus by this ignorance we call obama care. I was told 2 days ago... "I can't afford to go to a doctor". I can show you the txt.

I said... Well didn't obama care make it to where you can now afford it?

She said "No.. It made it worse so now even the ability to go to the doctor and pay a smaller amount, I can't go at all because I can't afford the insurance itself, let alone the deductible".

Guess who she voted for...

I didn't get a raise the last 3 years because of another stupid act of him monkeying around with the oilfield... MY and hundreds of thousands of other oilfield workers bread and butter. No one gave two craps about tens of thousands losing their jobs. We didn't get a bail out. People lost houses, cars, families... No one gave a rat's ass about it. But we suffered and america didn't even bat an eye. I didn't lose my job but I had to deal with the cost of living going ape $#!^ in those few years and no wage compensation to assist and all the while my insurance took a flying dump on me. In the last 3 years, my apartment alone went up almost 400$.

What about federal workers? Those people get supped up medical benefits where mine turned to crap. They get crazy amounts of money to sit on their arse and do a job that illegal field workers can do. NO qualifications.. Oh, you have to have some kind of degree. General studies will do. He's 150K a year plus benefits and you can totally suck at your job or even piss off civilians on a daily basis and get away with it. They'll never have to worry about losing their job, their insurance, their pay.

So where I stand.. Screw them. Screw them all. They need to see what suffering is like. At what they make, it's not likely but boo hoo if they don't get even more of my blood, sweat and tears.

Screw them. I say take it all away. Fire every single one and start fresh with minimal resources and micromanage the ^%$# out of them like I've been done over the last 3+ years because of our recession.

Can't say it enough... Screw them!

It's a twofold process... lowering taxes and lowering the size of government (less spending) makes a good economy possible.

The best instance was Coolidge.

He halved the size of the government in his first year in office and lowered taxes.

That gave us the Roaring 20's.

Like someone else here said, maybe Trump could shoot them for you. That would really get them out of your life. How about their kids too? Maybe their pet dog or cat as well?

Yep... Exactly what I expected.

You're an adult whom I assume has children...

Ever been in that moment when your child is throwing a tantrum and demanding that they know what's best for them because it's "their" life and you don't know anything in all the years you lived through?

Remember that feeling? Remember the thought you had? You know... "Damnit son/daughter... You have no idea what you're talking about so stop being an idiot and actually think about what you're saying/doing then you might have a clue".

Yep... That thought.

All I can say is, it's like arguing with children. Makes me wonder who really is the more educated bunch and just how far down the toilet education has gone for so many. I'm floored. I'm so baffled.

It’s free to walk around a park or your neighborhood, not so free on a golf course.

Lol it's probably free when you own the golf course. Also last I heard he chose not to be paid for being president. Regardless, it would have to be some amazing golf courses to reach up $25 billion in greens fees.
