His first sentence stands on its own, he was given what it requested.

moral of the story here:

-think before making frivolous bets online... research

-find a clever reason for this transaction if the other half asks... a reason where she won't have any follow up questions...

I told her it was to help my youtube channel

And I also told her it was one of the people I enjoyed discussing things with on ATS

As someone who generally sides with the left I would like to apologize to the right.

The snowflake leftists that are always looking for something to be offended about screw things up for everyone. There are idiots on both sides, but the ones calling this racist are idiots and you should just ignore them like the sane ones on the left do.

on what forum does a government official use the term 'monkey around' ...

sure in the context of talking to children its sometimes used... but in this context...

jeez...whatever eases you I guess.

first let me say its hilarious

second, i agree with you

im not an offended by words guy.
and of course we are allowed to use the term monkey it up.

thing is we dont

yes we can say monkey around. we are allowed to.
aside from playing with your kids, when was the last time you were talking to other adults and you used the term monkey it up?

bwuahahahahahaahah

But as this thread has shown, there are several instinces with politicians using the word monkey around or similar phrases.

Obama used it, kasich used it, Gillum himself used it.

Were all of them also racist dog whistling?

I heard he meant "monkey wrench", as in "throw a monkey wrench in the works", but of course, the media will run wild with monkey = african american....Regardless, he's a way better candidate than Gillum to run FL.

malarky

normal adult people say dont throw a wrench in it by electing him.
you know this
we all know this

am i saying he is racist? no
am i saying he is a dum bass? yup

am i offended? nope

is it hilarious? yes. we all know why too

it is also hilarious cause im sure the wrath is coming. there is finna be some outrage over this one

dont get me wrong. not saying he is racist. not saying he shouldnt be able to say it

it takes a special kind of dumb ass to say this innocent phrase when talking about a black dude in todays climate.

and its funny

First why does the amount of a group in an area matter when making supposed racial slurs of them?

Can I use racial slurs for veitnamese freely because there arent many here? Of course not.

As to desantis

He wasnt "Talking about a black dude"

He comlimented gillum saying he ran a good campaign.

He then warned of some of gillums policies, and told voter not to monkey up the good work they have done by voting for socialism.

Again, Gillum himself recently discussed a monkey on the backl of his towns commission.

So was that just as wrong as what desantis did?

i guess i should have worded the details better.
i said never used except when playing with your kids.

obama used it when talking about kids playing

i think we are on the same page

when an adult is talking to another adult they do not use the term monkey around or monkey it up when talking about another adult.
you know this.

the term monkey on your back in not the same thing. this is common for adults to use.
you know this.

throw a monkey wrench is also not the phrase.
we all know this too.

so no. they didnt use it

i dont know why i am debating this. i dont give a #.

i just want people to own their #.

instead of going into super defense mode why not just say yeah. dude was stupid. cant do # in 2018 and then sit back and laugh at all the meltdowns and take bets on if he is going to resign?

yes we are allowed and yes slang and aaahhhHHHHHH

im with you.

its not a common phrase. can we agree?
he is allowed to say it. can we agree?

not his smartest moment in saying it about a black dude in todays climate. can we agree?

in the back of your mind when you saw it or heard it you though oh dude... you #ed up... can we agree?

so we are on the same page

Obama wasnt talking about kids playing, he was talking about rigging elections.

Obama: "I come chicago, so, I want to be honest, its not as if its just Republicans who monkey around with elections..."

www.c-span.org.../obama-campaigns-2008-acknowledges-voter-fraud

I suppose you could say this was dumb for desantis to say because people who are professional race hustlers and offense takers would call him out.

No I dont think this phrase is that uncommon.

Had I been there to here this live, I swear I wouldnt have batted an eye.

But I didnt view gillum as primarily a "black man"

So the term monkey wouldnt have seemed odd at all.

I will not kowtow to the people who want to play oppression olympics and change my language or pretend what someone says is stupid because they should have feared these hucksters would come after them.

im just telling you the reality.
out here in blue collar land in the lower class where i exist.

it matters

can you say some negative # against the vietnamese?

thats rough. i would say probably not.
we have a history and then your going to get some koreans and japanese getting pissy.

probably wont work.

the gypos though?
nobody gives a #.

there aint going be hash tags out there for the gypsies man.

just like you can clown white people all day no matter what rave you are.

its just one of those things.

this # is no secret man.
it is like the unwritten hobo code there they spray symbols along the rails to keep people looped in.

i guess it is just something you know

like i know if i go out there clowning on some black dudes it aint gonna fly
if my last name was rosenburg though i could do it.

am i lying?

not saying it is right. just saying there is a way things should be and a reality.

that news dude should be able to say that and have it be a non issue.

reality is thats not happening.
look. we are here talking about it

im gonna blame that on the vape.

i read that elections as children. dont know why

and im with you dude.

i talk in real life exactly how i type here. it is colorful and i dont give a # who hears it.

i know what i mean. i know even though i am an asshole a lot of the time i dont discriminate and look down on people based on anything except stupidity.
i dont have any use for that but unless youre a mongo(see what i mean about colorful. i would have said that in the real world) you chose it.

let me put it like this

i would never call a black dude a 'n-word'.

at the same time though if i was standing there talking to someone and i was saying i love the whole scene from pulp fiction where he says do you see a sign on my door that says dead 'n-word' storage and a black dude walked by i would have said it.

i would not n word it out or clam up cause a black dude walked by.

now maybe ray ray(see i did it again) gets upset and kicks my head in. maybe i take ray ray down and strangle him.
maybe he likes the scene too.

point is i dont adjust the way i talk for people.
im just saying the reality is people are going to meltdown.

the reality is when he says that and theyre showing footage of the guy he is talking about, in the back of a lot of peoples minds there gonna get that smirk.
that little grin i get when i know someone #ed up.

it shouldnt be but it is.

reality man

I get what you are saying about the reality.

My argument is I chose to rail agaisnt that reality.

If racisl slurs are bad, then they should all be bad.

And if the professioanl offended class disgarees, then they are hypocrites that should be called out, and this proves their "offense" is fake and just a tool to attack theor opponents with.

This story is everywhere today, and most of the places reporting it are not saying they know desantis isnt a racist.

They are going the other way with it, implying this may have been a racial dog whistle.

I am tired of people looking to call out anything they find offensive, on all sides.

I am tired of elections being decided on who can dig up the most dirt on their opponent, and spin it to make them look like the bigger racist.

SO thats why I point out how dumb it is.

I am with you.

I am not racist at all, and I dont try to change how I talk around people based on their race.

If I would say something that offended someone, depending on how they told me, I would probably apologize and try not to use that phrase again.

I stopped using the term retarded because of that.

We are at the point in a society where both sides spend hours going through famous people social media, going back years, to find something, anything they can smear that person with.

It needs to be called out for the hypocritical fake outrage behavior that it is.

we are on the same page for sure man

its pretty disgusting.
all this fake outrage is disgusting too.

90% of it is fake in my opinion.

the roseanne thing
the kathy griffin thing
this thng

yeah there are going to be some people that are bunged up but i think a majority of them just want to get some hits/likes or whatever.

being offended and outraged is the in thing these days. its the thing to do.

we all know this

this dude knows this too which is why it was stupid to say

let me also add it would be fantastic if he responded to any of this with something like you and others have said already.

its a term. im not racist. # off. i didnt mean anything.

something to that affect.

i have a feeling though we will see some sort of statement or tweet where he is sorry and blah blah

this proves reality though

nothing done wrong

Fox News aired a follow-up segment after the debacle, calling the comment “inappropriate” and indicating that DeSantis has since “clarified” his statement. “We do not condone this language and wanted to make our viewers aware that he has since clarified his statement,” said Smith in the segment

see what i mean?
people need to own their #. right or wrong all this walking it back and i didnt mean it crap is tired

Sounds like a verb to me. Not a noun. Not a racial slur some are trying to make it.
Monkeys mess things up. Even i see this as playing the race card if some get excited over it.
