China may have a '5th gen' target drone already

This was shown off a time ago, but intended as a target. There's not much to go on other than it is the CK-20.

It would make wild sense for the Chinese to have developed a 5th gen target UAV: their main probable opponent has the largest (by far) 5th gen fighter force out there. 20x as much as anyone else has at least, when the F-22 and F-35 fleets are combined.

The question is whether or not the drone made it out the door or if it was killed in the cradle, not whether it made sense to make it.

Time may tell.

There's a big difference between a target drone and a "self aware" UCAV.

There is also a wide margin between "developing" a product to stealing the blueprints. China has been quite involved in the latter.

Sometimes photos are provided to people with no links. Sorry. You're capable of googling 'CK-20 china uav' just as much as anyone else.

Anyone can make a model look cool, I'd like to see what kind of systems integration and capabilities it has.

Supersonic interceptor perhaps.

Launch from land or sea, short range air to air missiles or just ramming speed.

Consider the cost and ease of manufacture, you could afford to lose these all day as long as they take out at least one enemy 5th generation fighter or bomber.

Nice concept ... cool too.

Except that you are looking at a cardbord model, the original is about as large as a T-38 and weights around the same...

A different target may have emerged. Not as...advanced.
