For me anyways, the consistent scrutiny and bullying is uncalled for. There are people essentially rooting through his trash, analyzing every word, picture, movement, interaction, harassing his family, for the sole purpose of bullying him. The fact that it is done by lesser human beings, many of whom could never do it to his face, makes it all the more annoying.

If only you guys could have the same thick-skin as Trump we might take you seriously.

I'm curious, since this is what happens to just about every public figure and celebrity on the planet, thanks to the Western World and it's obsession with "reality" (not that there's any real reality in reality TV), why should Trump be exempt from such treatment? Previous presidents haven't been, where was the outcry?

What I find hilarious, watchng American split itself down the middle over the idiot you have in charge (wait before you lambast me over this comment), is that if the election had gone the other way very little would be different, the presidents supporters would be jumping to her defence at every little comment, the opposition would be accused of constantly being triggered and you'd still have an idiot in charge.

One thing is certain, one way or another this presidency is a learning curve for the US and the rest of the world. The problem is, nobody knows what the lesson is yet, least of all the man in charge

I've admitted to misspeaks by Trump many times. And I have critiqued Trump. This morning, about the USMTA replacement for NAFTA, I said I wish he would spend more time on details and less on fluff.

I hereby challenge you to show me anywhere I have said Donald Trump is perfect. I have said he's doing a good job... I have said he's within his rights to do certain things he has done... I have even said he is so far the best President in my memory. But I have also said he is arrogant. I have said he needs to be clearer. I have cracked jokes about his overuse of tanning oil (or whatever that orange stuff is), his sometimes butchering of the English language, and several other mannerisms.

But that's just not enough it seems.

What I see are people who hate him so much they will take the most innocent generalizations and twist them around into "TRUMP LIED!!!! OMG! OMG! TRUMP LIED!!!! IMPEACH!!!!!!!" In the face of that type of obviously malicious dishonesty, yes, I will defend him. I will defend anyone who is being attacked for innocent statements.

The bottom line, though, is this: I really don't care what he says. I care about what he does. I'm still sitting on the fence on the way he implemented the tariffs... seemed a little hasty to me, but I'm waiting to see how it plays out. I'm happy with what he's done with North Korea so far, but I'm not ready to declare complete victory yet. I'm ecstatic about the economy. The VA reorganization sounds good... I'm waiting to hear from the vets if it really works or not. No opinion on China yet... jury's still out.

And in comparison with what his predecessor is, that does indeed make him look like the Second Coming. Sorry, but I despised everything Obama did, including the fact that I was forced to keep my mouth shut or be falsely branded a racist.

I wish... oh, how I wish!... that people on here could just sit down and have a reasonable conversation about policy again. We used to do that, you know. We could debate different sides of an argument with civility and decorum. No more. Today, it's always the same thing... one side attacks the man for breathing, while the other side, admittedly, would defend him eating puppy brains out of still-living puppy skulls. I am stuck in the middle, along with many many others, just trying to understand the actual policies and issues.

If you're not seeing that, you're simply not looking.

I’m not a trump supporter, but I am a supporter of the United States of America. In my opinion, the media is the biggest threat to the country, even more so than a bumbling, mumbling president who needs to get off Twitter and worry only about running the country.

Trump supporters defend everything that’s reported on him because the left is so cruel, viscious, and blatant in their hatred of all things “right”. I try to be as neutral as I can but the left is by far more damaging to this country than the right. But the media is loaded with liberals. The entertainment industry is loaded with liberals. With that, there really is a lot of fake news put out meant to smear Trump.

So of course they’re going to defend him. They can’t trust the news to be honest so they defend him no matter what. But guess what, it’s the same way the left defends Obama, the Clinton’s and all the members of their gang. It’s the exact same thing! So please, get off the liberal agenda nd look at things through a clear and unbiased perspective.

I've not seen a single person suggest that MS13 is innocent, to suggest that is to lie.

You're leaving out context, the very same thing you mentioned in closing question.

Vox and Pro-Publica made a propaganda piece suggesting as much ... that they weren't as bad all that and really just homegrown, etc.

Maybe it is because they feel the inherent
duty to defend The United States of America from a complete sell out
to a Chinese Communist and Global Socialist takeover.

Silly Girl.

Considering the connections the Chinese have with funding certain think tanks in DC ... that's more true than you know.

I agree with you.

I am not a Trump supporter. I don't even like the man, but I am so tired of the constant accusations, comments and nasty remarks that I have to listen to everyday, even at work, that the moment I hear his name I turn off the sound.

Many of them are so obsessed with the man that I am convinced that TDS is indeed a real illness.

It is not just about the presidency. Our society is being programmed to have no respect for anything or anyone, including ourselves.

Every action has a reaction.

The actions of the left and their obsession with trump has caused more people to defend him.

Like its wrong to defend and support your president.

Yeah, there is that too.

Trump was never my first choice, but just about anything would have gotten my vote against Hillary Clinton. There just wasn't a realistic choice offered, and people don't seem to understand that.

But watching the media whom I've held in contempt for years go all in on their ridiculousness just really annoys me. I'd have liked them to subject Obama to just half this level of scrutiny.

I've noticed at least on this site, maybe 1 in 20 people (or maybe 1 in 50 : p ) actually try to critically appraise Trump in a fair manner for his comments and decisions. The rest literally defend anything he says or does. Or more accurately, they defend -everything- he says and does. To those people, he is a perfect President. Which is laughable, but hey.. this longshot one, and they will defend him no matter how ridiculous it is to do so.
Because like him or not he is trying to undo the damage by a number of his predecessors and the NWO in general over decades of a planned take down of our country. I don't like everything he does, I just don't voice it. I was plenty vocal about our last Potus because I am against Marxist redistrubutionist schemes. The guy was totally about taking our country into a socialist agenda. Everything he did was along those lines. He was even connected to the dossier against Trump. What he has done against our country is too massive to even say. It would take me too long to explain in this post. Suffice it to say that Trump saved us from Hillary at least temporarily.

What's more frightening.... the ms 13 gang or the people who claim they are innocent. Then there's Antifa.... who have actual communist roots from the 30's. Flag and all and plenty of people here think they are alright.

It does appear that a great number of Trump supporters go along with everything he says and does, at minimum simply brushing off his many foibles. If I were to guess why, it would be because they have no choice. The only way to support Trump is to ignore the rampant fraud, corruption, lies, and stupidity that he heaps upon America on a daily basis. I gave Donald benefit of doubt early on thinking he would not act as badly as suggested during the Republican primaries. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Bad wrong. Trump comes up short in every department. Sad, actually; and a poor reflection on America that this is who we elected to represent ourselves and lead us towards a better nation. An utter fail, although at this point its becoming somewhat humorous watching Donald self-destruct; but only because it is his massive ego that is bringing him down. I'm not big on arrogance and hypocrisy, and Trump has a massive dose of both. Combined with a dearth of critical thinking skills, utter lack of integrity, and vengeful behavior, that makes Donald a very dangerous man to the future of our nation and globally even. But don't call me a Trump hater. My feelings are based on Trump's actions, and he reinforces those feelings on a daily basis.

And yah the Left criticizes Trump for things like coloring the stripes of the flag wrong and they fail to see or perceive the love which emanated from him and Melanie at that hospital visit. They fail in the Spirit of the Law. And yah Obama said he went to 57 states and the right criticized him but he probably was just tired.

I'm still trying to figure out what Trump has DONE that is so awful to leftists.

He lowered taxes and has reduced regulations.

That's about it.

And the left hate him for it. It's weird.

Because Trump never once violated a law to be impeached.......However Trump has a huge ego and refuses to let the ignorance of the media to continuely lie about Him.....Also because Hillary Clinton was not indicted on illegal e-mail server and because of corruption in the F.B.I. ruined the F.B.I. credibility under Comey as well as illegal gun running operations under Obama and Hillary without congressional approval I’m afraid massive corruption is being exposed..
Also this country cannot continue without Hillary Clinton being indicted for lying about e-mails.Not being trustworthy in the least bit about the Russia uranium deals and scandals of campaign violations and nothing happens to her and Bill Clinton who sexually assaulted woman...Like the Clintons are untouchable, worse than anything Richard Nixon did.
Obama I guess spied on Trump....If Obama spied on Trump that is illegal to ever do from any President..
