Anybody checked posts #1914 and #1918 on Qmap yet?

I'm on tablet at the mo and takes ages to page thru the map.

President #17 was Andrew Johnson. Lincoln's VP, took over after he was assassinated.

Congress hated him, and he ended up getting impeached on a bull# charge for violating a law that had been created specifically for the purpose of creating grounds for impeachment. The senate voted not to remove him.

Very, very relevant to current events, seeing as how Democrats are actively looking for an excuse to impeach Trump, and if they gain control of the House will likely manufacture one.

Also, if they do, Trump will almost certainly survive the process, because (unless something truly earthshaking surfaces) there is no plausible way they'll get 2/3 of the senate to vote to remove him.

The derailing is an issue whether it is intended or unintentional. We all unfortunately get sucked into it at times.

And pretty much inevitable with all Q threads being closed and re-directed here. Folks with different purposes don't have much choice. So as much as some would like to reserve this thread for research -- which I certainly understand and appreciate -- everyone is directed here... haters, doubters, questioners, etc. Everyone. Perhaps that's the point??? It's certainly the same end result...

At the same time, Q has stated that his purpose is to unite the people. So it also seems to me that this mega thread is the only opportunity for ATSers to do so. If we cannot come together over Q, then we cannot come together as a nation. Is this thread just going to be a carbon copy of the hate and intolerance and disrespect for differing opinions that we find everywhere? Or are we going to rise above that and do better???

And whether we do so or not is up to each one of us as individuals. It's easy making nice and discussing issues with people we agree with. There's no glory in that. The challenge -- and the glory -- are in tackling the hard jobs... like finding ways to discuss and debate our "opponents" with respect and thoughtfulness. Are we up to the challenge? We'll find out together.

The FBI leaked claims to the press, and used the resulting stories to get FISA warrants, falsely citing the stories as independent corroboration. They did the same thing with the Steele dossier, leaking it to the press and then citing the resulting story as an independent source.

By now, it is clear that the FISA warrants had no factual basis. If the FBI had any real evidence for their claims, they would have cited that, instead of ghost-writing news article to manufacture proof.

Rouhani is severely unpopular right now, both with the Iranian people and the legislature. Maybe they're hearing chatter that he's about to be impeached, or resign, or something?

Supposedly he has been called to testify before their Parliment - only the second time in their history this has happened. This first being Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, just a few years ago. Their current president is under fire for the historic collapse of the Iranian economy recently. This will not end well for him, I dont think...
