I'm about halfway through this video... the common themes, of course, are money and capitalism, but also family, leadership and honesty.

Letterman introduces Trump with the exact same greeting over and over, then at some point they bash the leadership and hint at Trump running for office. This went on for over two decades religiously. (And I haven't even checked out the other talk shows yet!)

Need I say more? Ewe decide.

Dudes been crafting himself for that role most his life, I thought was the common consensus.

In a recent rally, Trump said that he'd been preparing for the presidency his whole life. Make of it what you will.

Perhaps we shouldn't use the term "grooming".

This may just be a billionaire businessman that thought he would end off his run by putting "President of the United StateS" on his list of accomplishments.

Which wouldn't be to shabby a thing at all to add to his bucket list.

I'm not surprised that Trump himself would aspire to this... but why such a big push from the media when they only seek to destroy him now? I think even Letterman himself has turned on Trump. So what gives? Is this how they are going to institute full-on socialism? By bringing down the 'Lion' of capitalism?

U-alls decide. I'm just playing miniature golf online...

Groomed by his own ego maybe - on one of the many videos going around of pre-2016 Trump, when interviewed and asked, he did say that if he thought the US was going to sh!t, he would run.

Yes, all this is well understood... but again, why such the big media push with the reality show and all the interviews and everything, and then they suddenly turn on him? It was all like one big setup.

Because he had the absolute audacity to flip from a Democrat to a Republican and then actually be a conservative.

Think about it. The left idolized the guy for 30+ years.

Then he changed his job and they hate him.

Well that's the gullibility of the left for you.... obviously Trump was a DINO. A 3 year old could see that steamship a-comin'! TOOT-TOOT! ;-)

Anyway, what Trump did or didn't do or say doesn't discount the fact that there was an obvious program in place with widespread cooperation from the media to push him into power. His interviews were much more closely spaced together the closer the election drew. I think he is likely CIA-operated myself. Those guys love a good script and a laugh, I'm sure. =D

I know. Queen Oprah herself supported him at one time. And she always wins against the house.

He started the rumors of him running for President himself. Each and every time. He would do his homework on how to win an election. He even visited Jesse Ventura to learn about how he won his campaign for Governor. He has always wanted to be President, and I think he knows he is getting old and he just said screw it, it's now or never. And he did it.

Hey it's mah new pal from the other thread!

Yeah, I suppose it's divide to-keep-conquered politics as usual, no matter who's in power. I'm surprised Oprah hasn't ran yet. Perhaps they have to drain Trump's reptilian blood after his term is up, then feed it to her with a nice clam sauce.

Personally, I'm into Paulstretching clips of Yoko Ono.

This has been a topic for a bit and you can find threads on this. I will link you to one of my own fairly recent ones, if you don't mind.

It all begins in the late 70s, early 80s when the Rothschild family, Rockefeller family, the CIA and Donald Trump interests all overlap during the bankruptcy of Resorts International in Atlanta. Our current head of Commerce, Wilbur Ross, is a Rothschild bankruptcy attorney who was assigned to Trump during that bankruptcy. The decades long relationship culminates with Trump giving the Commerce position to the same Rothschild attorney when he took office.

Kissinger and the close relationship and grooming is another indicator that it is most likely true.

I don't think he realizes he is a pawn though, I don't think his ego would allow that thought to process. I also think he will in the end be brought down by the same people that lifted him up and groomed him.

We'll see. Without an admission it will always be a conspiracy theory, even if all signs point to it.

Well certainly he's in "mob-deep" now, so to speak. Whether he knows or not, he's on the chessboard for life!

Thanks for the info! I don't do much actual research. It interferes with my drinking. =]

Is that advice for watching the video or do you just keep the sound off all your viewing experiences?

This is a very thought provoking statement, especially in light of this thread!

Very interesting!

If anything, he "groomed" himself.

Really, the guy "had it all." He's reached the pinnacle of business success before he was an old man. He had power, influence, money, adulation. And an ego to wrap it all up.

Is anybody surprised that he made a run for the presidency?

My own opinion is that he wasn't really, really serious about it at first. I think it was all a game initially. He didn't need to be president, just wanted to play the game, see what'd happen. I can almost imagine him nearly crapping himself on election night as the results came in, maybe almost as shocked as ol' Hillary was.

So, what's he do? Do the opposite of what everybody else does. The establishment and all of the establishment politicos are playing up to big money, the banks, big pharma, etc. He says to himself, Hey, let's make a splash. What would a populist candidate look like in this world? He could have done what everybody else did, but then he wouldn't have stood out from the crowd. And the history books wouldn't have considered him anything special. His ego didn't want that.

He's doing what'll get him written down in the history books. As the old adage goes, there is no such thing as bad publicity.

And there you have it!
