Just a quick thread, something that I have been thinking on recently when browsing through the mud-pit.

I am only all too aware of my own views when it comes to this issue so please understand that I am doing my best to that into account and its probably why I haven't bothered to write this thread before know. I also know that this could be a little premature however I am still getting the slightest feeling that the tide of support for Trump is turning against him.

What I mean is that I cannot help but feel that there has been a bit of a softening that I have noticed in how some members seem to be almost (but not quite) becoming much more open to the notion that actually Trump isn't as great as they all seemed to think he was a year or so ago. I am starting to think that some members might be getting closer to sitting on that preverbal fence that has Trump supports on one side and his doubters on the other.

I feel like there has been a noticeable moving of the goal posts from defending Trump to excusing Trump now to almost looking for a way out of their previous out and out blind support of the man with out having to say those most difficult of words "I was wrong about Trump".

Trump was never great and the gop did not want him.
Trump was simply not hillary.
It is not that hard to understand.

If Hillary had won, the constant 24/7 attacks would be levied against critics of Hillary. You know that right? Instead of the nightly effort to undo a democratic election, we would be seeing stories about how bad critics of Hillary are.

There were many other candidates who were “simply not Hillary” as well.

On both sides of the aisle, and that is not counting third party entries.

And yet, Trump?

There is more to the story than just “not Hillary”, and a lot of people are going to have to answer some hard questions, if only to themselves, about just what the rest of that story entails.

Interesting, I've noticed the exact opposite. Perhaps you're having a bit of wishful thinking

I've noticed a lot of my Dem/Liberal friends realizing all the lies for what they are and a year and half into President Trump we aren't all dead, in world war 3 or completely bankrupt like many of them feared. I see a lot of people going "wow Trump wasn't as bad as they said he was" and realizing all the lies.

I always believed Trump was a bit of a Narcissist and a bit of a playboy. I think most of the people who voted for him believed the same. He is a billionaire who slept with porn stars and other beautiful woman. I don't think anyone is shocked, except those pretending to be shocked for ratings.

Is it questionable? Yes. A crime? No. I don't see anything changing.

I support his policies as president and have found no one esle who I can support. I'm not really concerned with who he slept with 10 years ago.

more importantly, I was right about Hillary all along. And my politics was very much formed as a #resisthillary vote.

2nd was voting for the person that best represented American values 1st, not globalism.

My feeling of a Trump presidency in light of that, is still achieving those two criteria.

Next election, I will still vote against globalists 1st, socialists and anti constitution, if Trump is the only one representing those values, then he gets my vote.

But Hillary.

I know it means nothing at all in context of your thread, but I decided to jump on the bandwagon anyway.

LOL

I did notice this place has way too many Trump supporters for a conspiracy forum. I was never one of them. The only thing I ever liked about Trump was his "winning" the "election" was really painful for a lot of liberals. I'm a bit sadistic in that way that I don't mind seeing people get taken down a notch when they spent 8 years taunting me and calling me stupid because I didn't like Obama.

I don't like Trump any better than I liked Obama. And I didn't like Bush any better than I liked either one of them. They're all the same to me and that's why I'm here and not on some other kind of forum. If there is a place for us to question everything we are being told by the MSM (ALL of it) it is here.

I am appalled at the partisan nonsense that's going on here. If anything has ever been more suspicious (in a conspiracy theory sense) than Donald Trump as POTUS I don't know what it is.

Naw I think most people are tired of arguing with a tree stump, how long can people keep pointing out the gaping holes in so many of the attacks before people just go screw it its not worth the effort.

Like the people screaming impeachment over campaign finance, ignoring the precedent that has been set in recent years.

Good post, can't find much to disagree with you on it.

Believe it or not I remember also thinking it would be a laugh for Trump to win, I still want Boris to become PM just so poor Merkle has to sit in meetings with Trump, Boris and Vlad.

I personally was much more critical of trump when he bombed syria than I am this week.

I think its not that people are thinking he is not so great, but are now thinking that the deep state witch hunt has a potential end game in sight.

Personally, trump has already accomplished much of what I wanted.

Both he and bernie showed that the establishment will not tolerate outsiders, and will use thier tools of the intel agencies and the media to destroy anyone who could be a potential outsider.

Thanks to berniee and trump, that is out on the open. Although, I am disappointed that despite this, most people still through ignorance or partisanship still cheer on the deep state.

There is only one reason I give merrit to this observation. The economy and wall street are doing remarkably well. The wealthy "deep state" have the financial means to crash the market whenever they choose.

A crashed market would devastate the econmy and could be used to make Trump look like a failure.

I see this angle but for some reason I still believe in Trump's motives. However, I wouldn't be shocked to find out he is just a different flavor of the same poo pie we've been fed for the last 40+Years.
