The Judge in both cases asked us to keep deliberating. It happens all the time. At some point they will simply remain deadlocked on the verdict and the court will move on.

Move on in what way? Does everyone have to whip a dead horse until they give in to a unanimous vote on every single count?

well, they've found him guilty of at least one count. but either they lost ground when they returned to deliberations after the judge told the to work things out or they had a problem with more than just one count since they could only agree on 8 counts.
so, the judge if gonna speak personally with each juror and if he agrees that they can't reach a verdict, he's will probably call a mistrial on the other ten counts.
and, we will have to play the game all over again...

update...

Paul Manafort was found guilty of five tax fraud charges, one charge of hiding foreign bank accounts, and two counts of bank fraud.

The other 10 charges were declared a mistrial.

www.news9.com... seems they cant reach a verdict on 10 of the 18 charges

Paul Manafort, Donald Trump's former campaign chairman, has been found guilty on five counts of tax fraud, one count of failing to disclose his foreign bank accounts and two counts of bank fraud. The jury is unable to reach consensus on 10 of the 18 counts in the bank fraud trial of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort. Judge T.S. Ellis III will declare a mistrial on 10 unresolved counts but will accept the jury's verdict on the remaining eight counts. Ellis decided there is "manifest necessity" to proceed. Manafort faced 18 counts — five counts related to false income tax returns, four counts of failing to file foreign bank account reports, four counts of bank fraud and five counts of bank fraud conspiracy. The government alleges Manafort hid tens of millions of dollars in income and falsified records to enrich himself and live a life of luxury. The jury — composed of six men and six women — began deliberations Thursday morning, after a little more than two weeks at trial. The government had recommended between eight and 10 years in prison if he's found guilty of the charges against him.
so mistrial on 10 counts but 8 still in play guess were close to a conclusion of the case now

not really a mistrial means that if the prosecution chooses to they can just have another trial and we can play it all over again!

If a jury is deadlocked they can retry the case. If the jury renders a verdict one way or another then its done you cannot keep trying someone till you get the verdict you want

Seems they reached a verdict! Guilty on 8 felony counts.

The jury found Manafort guilty on five charges of filing false income tax returns, one count of failing to report foreign bank accounts and two counts of bank fraud.

Judge T.S. Ellis III declared a mistrial on the remaining 10 counts — three counts of failing to report foreign bank accounts, five counts of bank fraud conspiracy and two counts of bank fraud.

Manafort was convicted of five counts of tax fraud, one count of failing to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts and two counts of bank fraud. A mistrial was declared in three counts of failing to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts, and seven counts of bank fraud and bank fraud conspiracy.

No Russian collusion?

Gasp.

Mistrial on 10 counts. They tried to throw the book at him.

www.nbcnews.com...

That's got appeal written all over it considering the mistrial on the others.

My understanding is that none of these charges were related to Russian election collusion. Mistrial on some accounts does not mean that there is problems with the other charges but it is certainly his right to appeal.

My impression is that this was stage one in getting him to flip.

Whelp, Mueller and Co certainly aren't done with Manafort. They have something like 30 new charges and new trial coming up!
