BREAKING NOW: Missing Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts is found dead

There's going to be a news conference at 4 PM, where police will release more information. Feel bad for the parents. It must have been a grueling 5 weeks for them, as well as for friends of Mollie. No one has been arrested and no information has been released yet on where her remains were found, or cause of death.

Police are not releasing any information until 4pm local time but people working for Crime Stoppers to help find her say her family has been informed.

No one has been arrested in connection with her disappearance and several police agencies have been working for weeks to try to uncover leads.

A $400,000 fund for her safe return was established but it did not produce any leads either. Now, it will be dedicated to finding the person responsible for her death.

Why wouldn't her family have been informed? Is there any reason to believe they would find a dead person and not inform their family?
