Last week we lost a member of our family - our dog Loki.

Last night my wife called me at work and told me to check my email.
She brought a foster puppy home.

Personally I feel its too soon to get a new dog. Hell im still crying because I miss Loki.

But of course the wife and the 3 kids think this is a great idea.

She doesnt have a name yet:

Any suggestions?

Best way to get over a broken heart is to fill it again. Beautiful pup. What kind of dog is she? Really cute.

I'm not good at names but that sure is one purty looking pup. May you all have many wonderful years together.

I just went for the first thing that came to my head when I looked at the picture.
She looks like a Priscilla to me.

Good luck and sorry for your loss.

We have found that getting a new pet to focus on is healing when a beloved pet passes. You don't forget but your attention is not focused on your loss. (which I'm very sorry for.)

This baby needs some love. You have some to give.
Win/ Win!

I think foster means temporary home. Unless they adopt her she's going somewhere else eventually.
I hope the three kids are okay with that after losing their family pet.
Maybe they will keep her.

I suggest Tina. She looks petite.

That's nice too. She needs a ladylike name. She looks the part.

Boxer + Lab? Without any personality hints, I'll suggest Babs.

Sticking with the Norse theme in honor of your former pet...

Beyla - Norse Goddess of Earth

Eyra - Norse Goddess of Healing

More suggestions here...

I've always gave it a few days, and watchedc the animal, see its' personality, and name it from that. Had a kitten that liked to watch from high places, and was careful in its movements...reminded me of my grandfather, so I named him after my grandfather, Sam.

Sam is now 10 years old, and my little buddy.
