I'll bet no one here on ATS has Kaopectate in gallon quantities!

I was just sorting through some stuff tonight and realized I have (3) one gallon jugs of Kaopectate!

I'll bet a really nice steak nobody can match this (honor system now!).

So, do I have a terrible, horrible, case of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, or what????

Actually, it works really good on the cows sometimes, the calves especially.

Get it started with fluids and some anti-diarrheal and a sick little calf, who's been snowed and rained on just after birth, will survive...when most others will lose a calf like this.

So, there's a steak in it for the win...IF, you truly have more than two (2) gallons of Kaopectate in gallon jugs!!
LOL!!

NOTE: the past couple days I must have ate something bad at a truck stop, so I've taken a few sips from the "jug" in order to get right.

Never realized how much of this stuff we use!

That is all.

Ummm...I have one partial one left...I think...I know I have a gallon of iodine...

Leftovers from when I use to raise livestock...

So although I'd love to grill me some steak...I concede that your steak is safe in your freezer...

lol you got me beat! I also suffer from that stuff -- in fact just had my 5 year colonoscopy done yesterday... God, I hate doing that every 5 years! That stuff you drink the whole day before it really blows!

Oh well, all a part of getting older, right?

Anyways, I have a 2-pack from Costco of that stuff, but nowhere near 3 gallons! lol

Any other uses for it? Can it go bad? Use it up in some chemistry experiment perhaps? Just for fun.

You're right. I don't have kaopectate in that quantity, but when you said you did, my first thought was that you had it for your cattle.

Mixes well with vodka.

Yep...great stuff!

Even the large animal vet prescribes it! She won't sell it to us at a markup (unless we're desperate, which we aren't), but she'll send me to the feed store with the exact mix for 10,000% cheaper!

I LOVE our vet!!

We have a small bottle in the medicine cabinet. I have no idea how old it is, I think the wife uses it occasionally. I haven't used it in a couple of years because I do not know if it goes bad.

Edit, it is more than a couple of years, maybe five since I had the runs. I tend to be more on the constipated side of the river. We only use it when we get a bug that gives us the poops. Pepto bismol is used by us a little more often.

University of Michigan Medical Center has those in lg. quantity bottle jugs. Most inpatient pharmacy to be dispensed in measured amounts to admitted patients.

If you have 2 gallons of Kaopectate and a steak, I wouldn't call that a "win"

You know, when you first see an OP title in the threads like yours, the eyes immediately roll, and you think, "This should be good. What, some PROOF of something, or whatnot? I'll click on it to see what this guy is babbling about."

I can promise you, Kaopectate was NOT what I expected to find. You win. I definitely do not have anything near even one gallon of Kaopectate, and I formally take back my eye roll.
