The reason cancer figures are on the rise is down to the 100s of nuclear weapons we have detonated since 1945 nevermind the reactor accidents that have also occurred.

Not saying we don't introduce carcinogens into the food chain by other means all the same.

Stuff like this looks interesting, toxic to insects but not as toxic to mammals, unlike the neonicotinoids. However it would be valuable to see how these would effect bees and other pollinators.

Most people here are in favor of companies making all the money they can as a business with little regulation. This is a result.

The farmer doesn’t care what your kids are eating, as long as he makes money on his cash crops and can buy that brand new Platinum F-350, and their high school daughter a new Mustang.

It's in the food but mostly it's in the packaging.
Plastic water bottles have changed what men and women look like today.

Interesting read on the effects of pesticides on children.

www.yesmagazine.org...

"The pesticide-exposed four-year-olds of the valley made scribbles and the five-year-olds frequently made a circle at the bottom of the paper and a line upward to represent the body. Others drew odd shapes with abstract divisions, where dots represented eyes and enclosed areas were body parts. The drawings of the children who lived in the foothills, on the other hand, accurately placed body parts and facial features."

Geeh I wonder why the world is gone crazy.

The wonderful thing about regulations are the fines you can pay to get out of them once you have enough money. Most farms never consider following the rules, the fines, nothing more than legal bribes, are a given overhead cost. So there's no point in banning these killer poisons, that will just fill some regulatory agencies coffer.

An update on the issue:

The announcement of the private tests comes as the FDA is struggling with its own efforts to analyze how much of the herbicide residues might be present in certain foods. Though the FDA routinely tests foods for other pesticide residues, it never tested for glyphosate until this year. However, the testing for glyphosate residues was suspended last week.

a reply to: dreamingawake I find it very interesting that Monsanto released Round Up Weed Killer in 1974 and the government started keeping statistics with the National Center For Biotechnology Information on Children's Cancers in 1975, one year later. Leading cause of cancer for children on the pie chart I saw was Leukemia. Now I ask you are innocent children getting cancers from Oatmeal and Oat based cereals including Cheerios?
