The object of this thread is that Chelsea made the false assertion that abortion was responsible for women participation in the workforce, e.g. she claims no abortion, no participation in workforce.

Yep. And I said that I agree, except she didn't mention the advent of contraception, which is an important milestone in women's entry into the work force. Abortion is also a high factor, and approximately 1 in 4 women will get an abortion, and most of those women will already be a parent, so that abortion will allow those women to either re-enter or stay in the work force instead of staying at home with 2 or more kids.

1- even in the US, most women don't get abortions but still participate in the workforce

So? about 1 in 4 will. That's a pretty large percentage there!

2- in Ireland, where abortion is illegal, women's participation in the workforce is comparable to the US

Thousands of Irish women travel to the UK each year to access abortion. Again, Ireland's and Poland's ecomony are not comparable to the US's econonmy. And, just because there is little access to abortion in Poland doesn't mean that Polish women don't go elsewhere to have one.

Facts and deductive reasoning, there is NO LINK between abortion and women in the workforce, and despite your best efforts at covering for Chelsea, she is wrong.

Absolute hogwash! Again, approximately 1 in 4 women in the USA will get an abortion, most of them already mothers. If you think that doesn't effect the work force and the economy, you're just willfully blind and ignorant. Nothing else to say.

Obviuous trollery is obvioius.

Nope.

Your gross inability to understand facts and perform deductive reasoning is "Obviuous/obvioius."

The facts are, contraception and abortion have enabled women to thrive in the American workplace and have helped boost the American economy by leaps and bounds!

To deny this is folly.

Wishing something to be true does not make it so.

I already provided you with FACTS about localities where there is no abortion but comparable women participation in the workforce.

And you just continually respond with fact-free, reason-free histrionic emotional reactions.

While I personally find abortion to be abhorrent, no, I am not looking to take it away from you.
At all.
Really.
So, relax.
In fact, in your specific case, I have to admit you do the human gene pool a great service by having as many abortions as possible.

Absolutely! Take that to heart buddy. Plenty of women are choosing abortion in order to further their careers. Get over it. There's no going back!

Except in 3rd world countries, there is no such place in the modern world where women of means can't get an abortion, even if they have to cross the border to get one.

Do you think Polish women and Irish women are having babies in the fields, and just pick 'em up, strap 'em to their backs and keep working? You don't take into account how much time off women with children have to take, or how long they have to stay out of the work force before being able to go back to work.

Like I said, around 1 in 4 women, most of whom already have children, will get an abortion. To ignore how women's reproductive freedom effects their ability to not just hold a job, but pursue a career and thrive, is willfull ignorance on your part.

While I personally find abortion to be abhorrent

No!?

I am not looking to take it away from you.

Yes you are. You're trying to convince people that access to contraception and abortion is unconnected and unimportant women's financial autonomy, which is a lie. You're attacking women's choice by trying to invalidate their motive.

In fact, in your specific case, I have to admit you do the human gene pool a great service by having as many abortions as possible.

Yeah, that's where I thought you were going all along. Obvious trollery is obvious.

Abortion is one of the few issues that the left has right. Though probably if you really get down to their motives they're for abortion for all the wrong reasons. Abortion should be and should stay 100% legal in every case. The only people I know of who are against it at all are religious wackos. Everyone I know who is atheist or agnostic doesn't have a problem with it at all. This is one reason why there needs to be a viable alternative to traditional Republicans and conservatives. Most of them are tight with organized religion. Everything they do is influenced by their affiliation with (primarily) Judeo-Christian influenced ideology.

Unfortunately, there are plenty of not religious objections to be had against the far left. And yet very few people are actually doing it. It's very tough to argue with liberals when their primary opposition is Christianity. When you argue with them, that's where they assume you're coming from. Religion is irrational. I mean, it's fine if you believe it but when you base your entire argument on religion you lock anyone who isn't religious out of the debate. Christians and atheists could find common ground against left wingers if Christians would just leave religion out of it and focus on rational arguments that don't start with "Gawd sed nawt ta dew this!"

Abortion is a good thing and should be a human right. A religious doctor shouldn't have to perform an abortion. But on the other hand, he/she should not be in a profession that is incongruent with their outdated religion. They weren't doing kidney transplants and radiation therapy in Bible times either. A retarded kid could only do so much damage in those days. These days, an unwanted/abused kid turns into a school shooter or a serial killer or something.

More unhinged, paranoid drivel.

No, I'm not looking to take your abortion from you, go for it.

Focus.

This entire thread is about the false statement by Chelsea, supposedly linking $3.5 Trillion in economic activity to abortion, for which she provided zero reference or methodology.

Poland and Ireland are EU countries, not "third world" per your statement. I don't expect you to know this, since you are a leftist, in rabid meltdown mode.

1/4 women getting an abortion also means that 3/4 of women, i.e. THE MAJORITY, don't get an abortion and still manage to participate in the workforce.
I know.
For you , this math is hard...

I provided you references and stats, showing that there is NO DIFFERENCE in women workforce participation between countries that offer abortion and countries that don't. You provided no reference, not even logical thinking.

Q.E.D.

You are once again wrong.
Your "hero" Chelsea is also wrong.
But go ahead, keep placing your faith in Chelsea, who never managed to hold a job on her own, anywhere, and currently relies on a part-time "job", somehow paid $900,000/year despite being part -time, from her mommy's corrupt "foundation".

Critical thinking means doing the thinking part...smh...

Sounds about right to me. What US figures/statisitics did you present? None? Right!

1/4 women getting an abortion also means that 3/4 of women, i.e. THE MAJORITY, don't get an abortion and still manage to participate in the workforce.

No, that's not what that means. Staistics show that Irish women with more than 2 children or more children tend to NOT participate in the work force. Plus, again you fail to consider the role of contracteption in women's abiity to not only partiipate in the labor force, but to thrive in it!

Are you advocting mothers should leave their children to go work? Leave them in whose hands?

So again, I'm not going to argue Chelea's US statistics, while you've present none. I have no reason to doubt them. It's obvious, and there is n doubt that the advent of contraception and abortion have allowed women the freedom and autonomy to participate and thrive in the work place like never before.

Your ignorant denial and unhinged hatred of Chelsea Clinton is interfering with your ability to understand women's productive health issues, and how modern medicine has freed them and enhancedtheir their ability to participate in the work place and contribute to the commmon good of socieity through their economic contribution.

Their is absolutely no question that abortion, and contraception, have enhanced women's abilties to participate, and even thrive, in the US work force. Not only that, but these new found reproductive family planning medical tools have freed women from the slavish duty and plight of producing unplanned offsring after unplanned offspring.

Your insults and attacks on me reveal your own misogynous motives for demeaning women like myself, who support female autonomy hat is expressed through women's reproductive and family planning rights and choices.

Ya know, your unhinged attacks on me and my intelligence are, no doubt, are based on religous bias that women are subservient to men's sexual needs and women's biological fate. but modern science has found another path for female reproductive wisdom. While you try to misogynously manslain to me why women shoud "shut up and take it!" women have taken matters into their own hands. There is no going back

A. "What US figures/statisitics (sic) did you present? None? Right!"
If you had more than the memory of a flea or an iQ sufficient to roll up to my earlier responses in this thread, such as Aug, 16 2018 @ 05:14 AM, you would find that 3 of the 4 sources I gave are American. You either lied or are a moron.
P.S. You, however, still have presented NO SOURCES that defend Chelsea's position regarding her false claim of $3.2Trillion in economic activity due to abortion.

B. In America, I already gave you that stats that 3/4 of women never get an abortion. NEVER. Capiche ?
Furthermore, the majority of American mothers ( and women in the West in general) work.
Women/mothers also work across the planet, even in locations where there are NO abortions

WOMEN WORK REGARDLESS IF THERE IS ABORTION AVAILABLE OR NOT.
Ergo, logic dictates that abortion and working women are UNRELATED.
You are clearly unable to perform any deductive reasoning.

C. Your idolatry of Chelsea is ignorant. My dismissiveness of Chelsea is based on the fact she has been a failure her whole life: despite a high level education on paper ( or perhaps degrees paid-off by her parents, more likely given her work career...) could not make it as a consultant at either McKinsey or Active Capital. Dropped that career to try her hand at broadcasting- failed at that too - fired by NBC . The only job she found after that was a part time "job" overpaid at $900 000/annum, at her mommy's "foundation". Her parents had to bail her out for a job, nobody else wanted her even though Chelsea had "Clinton" for a last name. Not an "idol" for anyone. For a true female role model, Google "Margaret Thatcher".

D. Oh My. Misogyny, the "poor debater" accusation card drawn when outmatched in iQ, facts and logic. Your "card" has been declined. Until you just now outed yourself as a woman, I did not know your gender - My conclusions on your mental abilities are strictly based on your (deficient) responses and the only conclusions that can be drawn, witness A. B. C. above. They would remain the same if you were a man.

E. "subservient to men's sexual needs" , "shutup and take it", "demeaning women". At no point in this thread OR ANY OTHER ON THE INTERNET, did I ever write such things. Projection issues on your part, likely due to YOUR father/father figure that had those deviant issues. YOUR DAD. Not me.

F. Again, I am not stopping you from getting an abortion. Enough with your paranoia. I _AM_NOT_STOPPING_YOU. Go ahead ! Have one ! Have ten if it's YOUR thing; just not my cup of tea. I now feel I have to illustrate, since you are so dense:

You ?
You support this, the above, those pictures..... And you support this for MONEY, Chelsea's argument for MONEY ( however wrong she may be). Go Ahead. Not stopping you. Really. Speaks to who you really are.

Me?
I find this abhorrent. Speaks to who I am.

Good luck in life.
You're clearly going to need it...

Pro-life drivel!

Has abortion made America more prosperous? Chelsea Clinton seems to think so.

I tend to agree. However, I think that the advent of contraception and the freedom that it provides is probably more responsible for women's ability to thrive in the workplace.

No, it's a known socialist pro-abortion newspaper - only Chelsea gets trashed by the article, for her obvious immense stupidity and callousness, that everyone can see. No one else/nothing else gets trashed.

As I have said numerous times previously, I am not looking to take away your access to abortion, even though I find it personally repulsive and amoral. However, since you obviously grew up in an amoral family, you cannot understand. Seek treatment, like your mother, for chronic paranoia.

Have as many abortions as you want; it removes more of your DNA from the human gene pool and in so doing increases the average IQ of the human population as a whole.

Good luck !
