As suspected all along.....

According to a new Gallop Poll, Democrats seem to favor Socialism over Capitalism 😃

Of course many Democrat candidates running for office will say different and have voters believe they are "Moderates" and are in favor of the "People" and not big government.

But almost all Democrat policies (especially the high impact policies and legislation) always make government bureaucrats run your lives and your money.

Don't fall for their BS 😎

Expose the phonies and liars that will take you down 🔑🔓

Zi Democrati --- Zi Parti of Zi People !! 😃

HARD LEFT: New Poll Shows Most DEMOCRATS Prefer ‘SOCIALISM’ to ‘Capitalism’

A stunning new poll released by Gallup shows a majority of Democrats now prefer “socialism” to “capitalism,” signaling the shocking new direction of the party just months before American voters head to the polls.

The survey finds that “for the first time in Gallup’s measurement over the past decade, Democrats have a more positive image of socialism than they do of capitalism.”

They have a whole continent in Europe they can move to, but instead want to crap all over America. We need some place to be free of the socialists and failed European policies.

I am no Dumbocrat, but I can support a few socialist ideas, like Social Security(needs modifying though) and "free" education(as in public schools up to HS). However, these guys want free everything.
I mean Free college? Really? Go join the military and 4 years later you can get out and use your GI Bill.

Something does need to be done about health care though. It's the number 2 cause of bankruptcy and that just aint right. Dont ask me what though.....I don't know.
ETA Sorry ...number one cause.

eu.usatoday.com...

What ages are these people in the poll? I would like to know the demographics. I am always sceptical of polls....much as I am sure Hillary is now. LOL

I've said before, at some point in the near future we'll have to look at a socialism type of economic system or trade/barter once we move into the post-occupational Era. Caused by automation and AI.

But we are not at the point yet, and trying to force it will just lead to collapsing the economy and more unrest and wars.

I do not think we will ever see a purely socialist economic system. It is vital that we have a mixed economy.

So polls matter now? Pretty sure they did not the other day in an anti-republican thread. Funny how that works here.

I've got an intelligent point for you. Socialism kills innovation. It kills self reliance. It kills progress and freedom. As far as I'm concerned you all are going to have to fight for it.

Perhaps all medical fields could be made into NPO's? Wages could still be high, but profits would be re-invested into equipment, etc? Dunno, just a thought.

Many articles on AI taking over for ole Doc.

Who needs a poll to know this?

They don't call leftist ideology the nanny state for nothing.

The question wording does not define "socialism" or "capitalism" but simply asks respondents whether their opinion of each is positive or negative.

Gallup

Asking the average American their opinion of a word that they may or may not understand.

Socialism - Using Facebook and Instagram
Capitalism - Replying in all caps

I don't think this is a surprise. The article says that when they polled 8 years ago 53% of the people preferred Socialism, now in 2018 it rose by 4% to 57%.

53% a decade ago is still majority.

And the more right pushes right, the more left will push left. This is all intentional and the plan all along. I don't like it but that's how it works and that's the division that is being created so people are more easily controlled.

The only thing we can all do is to stop pushing to extremes, including the extreme right. Everything is connected.

Edit to add: Although I have to say, I am very glad we are using Gallup poll now and 10 days ago we have this poll thread, which can only mean that not only are polls ok to post again and discuss, but Gallup is groovy.

How does does socialism kill innovation or self reliance? It's an economic theory, not a way of life that people are forced in to.

That's communism, which is very bad.

Any extreme is bad, including the extremes of capitalism.

And if we fight for it, that will require an army. Who's going to pay for that army?

Oh ya....all of us.

Thanks socialism.

I find it funny that those wanting a socialist government style cannot point out how it is going to be paid for.

As far as the "scared, ignorant little men" part. is it possible that most rational people look at socialism historically?

So far, it has had about a 150 year run, has never worked and has killed millions upon millions of people.

To me that would be something to be scared of.

But but... it will work this time!!!!

What we should be doing is pointing out that socialism as a theory works. But that's it. In reality, we should have stopped talking about it 100 years ago.

Those that still cling to the idea should be laughed at.

As I am laughing at you.

Someday the word Socialism will return to it's original meaning. Government of the people, by the people, for the people. Although Marx didn't use the term Socialism to define military, education and such through taxation I imagine it is acceptable to call that Democratic Planned Socialism, so long as the people are represented equally.

It's very interesting and strange to me how the word Socialism has been adapted to mean so much more than Marx defined it as. I imagine Marx would be perplexed at how the word has come to mean the opposite of it's origin.

Socialism is 2 things according to the true intent of the word.

In the market place it is a structure where employees partake in ownership of their workplace and collectively determine things such as production and wages. In this Socialism is not opposed to Capitalism but rather it works in conjunction with Capitalism and still maintains a class system. Unions are the closet thing to Socialism in the Marketplace. Outside of minimum wage increases, which wouldn't help unless they were tied to actual costs of living, I don't think many on the left are calling for this.

Outside of the market in the US we have Democratic Planned Socialism. This is where the government collects taxes and manages programs such as education and military on behalf of the citizens. It remains Democratic as We the People have the right to vote on many of these programs and elect officials that are supposed to represent the majority. The left believe higher education and healthcare are universal rights and this is what they want more of.

Even Communism according to Marx is not controlled by a handful of people in government but is a classless system that eliminates elitism.

We really should use the terms correctly but people with agendas like to change the meaning of words to suit their agendas.

Just thought I would add some clarification for those who fear the "S" word or believe Marx had anything to do with the mess we are in.
