Are you a grammar nazi? It is ok if you are, my real-life friend is, and it amuses me. He is really good at spelling and grammar of finnish and finds some goofs everywhere

I got one that, for some reason, gets a little bit under my skin. I can truly understand to/too mistakes and lose/loose mistakes. But hey, "I could care less" when one wants to say he or she doesn't care at all. It is just too obvious mistake.

By the way my dentist was fine. One large tooth cavity was fixed. Before, you could give me some food, then dump me into a deserted island for a month and i would survive just fine with the food remains in the cavity. Now it is filled.

I Just bought 18 cans of beer from a nearby grocery store.

"Novacaine used to be a common local anesthetic used in dentistry. It is no longer used as some people have been found to suffer allergic reactions."

You misunderstood. I was offering help to someone that felt nervous. I wasn't about to write the story for them, just help with the basics. Speaking another language is not easy. There are traps laying in wait everywhere. There, their, they're. Your you're. Can't won't didn't shan't. They have the same pitfalls in Dutch and I fail always at some point. The Dutch have two words for "the". Can you believe that? One of them is masculine and the other feminine, apparently.

De deur. (The door.)
Het spoor. (The railwaytrack.)

There is no rule of thumb, you have to learn every single object word (dog, cat. table, etc) and then learn whether it is a "de" or a "het". I gave up as soon as I understood how that part worked and that was a decade or two ago. I say the odd wrong word but it still makes sense, it just sounds wrong to any Dutch person.

Glad to hear your cavity is filled. I need to get mine fixed too but brrrr! Dentists...

Actually i didn't misunderstand. I got it just the way you explained. What happened was, you know, i am not scared of dentists, but i don't like being there (i don't think anyone does) and then i switched from that state of being uncomfortable, to my favorite music and some beer and got a buzz and tried to start a conversation with a funny side-note but obviously, i failed. It is ok, it happens often to me. Let's continue like this never happened

What? Your foot is still busted? That can't be right. I have a bad sense of time but it has been a while since you busted it. I know, you have told that visiting a doctor is hard but come on? it is your foot, you need it, something has to be done to heal it faster

You can gain the title without winning a writer's contest. If you have put up poems, prose or written stories, you can PM a mod and request the title. That's how I got mine. Though I did win in a contest once after that.

I'm laughing because that is a common saying around here.

I should get to a dentist myself, but I have enough anxiety without having to pay a fortune to go see one.

Wonderful to hear your Mom got her vision corrected!

I will be needing cataract surgery in a couple of years and though everyone says it's a piece of cake, I'm still really nervous. That, and since it isn't done in a regular hospital, my medical won't cover the cost. I could switch to a different plan, but there is so much to read and understand about all these plans and could cost me more money that I don't have. With some, you have to go whatever Doctors and specialists that are on their list. So..pffft! I'll stick with going to whatever Doctor I want.

It will cost thousands. I hope they have a payment plan.

Hi Night! Hi everybody!

I've been in the Shed kitchen making sammiches and chilling the beer. There's lots, feel free to help yourselves.

Actually I've been a lazy couch potato...playing a video game (Sugar Smash, I think it's called..?)...but now I'm stuck so thought I would pop in to say "Hi".

I kinda rushed through reading about dentist's because I need to see one too...but am afraid.

Thankfully my anxiety doesn't seem too bad today...not sure why. So I'm trying to enjoy some non-productive time at home without feeling the need to be with other people.

I hope everyone's having a good day so far.

Gah! I keep missing you in here! I'm trying out cooking pork chops in barbecue sauce in the crockpot. Too hot to cook in the oven!

Just watered all my plants, took dead leaves off and clipped a couple of stems to root.

Kya is meowing up a storm. He ate so he just wants attention. Takes after his Mom (Me). LOL
