I live in a small town across the road from massive sand dunes and a 32km long beach. 😎

Good Lord, don't tempt me like that! I mean, I'd have to get on an airplane
I would arrive at your place drunk. LOL

That and...I can be a pain in the arse. Do I get a smoking room or do I have to do that outside? Now I am dreaming of living near the ocean. I know my friends here in Rhode Island that live near the ocean would take me in a heartbeat.

My wife has sneaky cigarettes in the laundry ... but it is no smoking.

I gave up cold turkey 17 years ago.

I nag at her to do the same.

Ed: Winters here are quite mild. It only gets unpleasant if the wind is howling ( think sandblasting ) storms can, however be spectacular !

Yeah, but your Summers are brutal! Hotter than here in my part of the U.S? Like blistering hot? Me and heat don't get along.

Why do cats always follow us to the bathroom? It's really not that fascinating... I mean they do stuff too and we don't follow them to their litter box.

A what? Does it tell me what to do in case of deadly spiders and things? You have to teach me 'the look'.

Lifesavers ... as in buff Aussie life guards ...

I learned the " look " from Crocodile Dundee.
I'll get him to teach you.

WiS is not the only one who appreciates and enjoys your writing skills!

and........ FWIW, as a crazy cat person, I am eternally grateful that only three of the ferals domesticated themselves and decided to become indoor-outdoor cats. They would need much more staff than my Darlin' and me if we had all nine inside. Besides, the Tychem 10000 is a bit pricey.

Lol, you have me beat by 3, when I was a kid, we had 6 cats. The late Old Man I mentioned was one of them, he lived to 24, I had him since we took him in as an abandoned neighborhood stray in 1995. The vet placed his age at about 5 years back then, and he died in 2014 -- not too long before we moved from FL to MI (he'd have loved the trip up here, he liked car rides) 19 years of the most unbelievably relaxed, mellow, lovey-dovey-est buddy ever.

In fact, he's even part of the reason I decided dating hubby would be a continuing thing, he was an excellent judge of character. Instead of giving him a dirty look and hiding under furniture when they first time I introduced them, he investigated him, and crawled up in his lap and took a nap. "Ok, if my bodyguard likes you, I suppose we can keep doing these dates. You're approved!" He adored hubby, slept with his head rammed up under his chin every night, or curled around his head on the pillow. That Old Man sure knew how to make a grown man melt, he was always very snuggly-affectionate toward him.

I bought a spot carpet cleaner today, so I wouldn't have to haul out the big, heavy, cumbersome carpet shampooer to try to clean the carpet on the stairs anymore (it's not easy, it's a big machine, and those are not deep stairs, nor are they very wide) I tested it out on a couple of spill stains in the living room (and a bunny accident stain)

I think I'm in love.
Press a button, and walk away while it does all the work. Bissell, you're a genius.

While this probably won't cut down on the amount of time it takes to shampoo the stairs, it'll definitely make it substantially easier (and safer) I can't wait to get the stairs done now, I'm feeling like:

Wow, it is rare to have a cat live to be 24! That is amazing! I had one that died at 19, close to 20.
Now stop making me feel guilty because I'm hanging around online all day and not cleaning. LOL

Made cabbage and kielbasa soup, so I did do something today.

Having mushroom risotto and I have a left over egg roll. I know, weird combo.

That's me every day. I don't have a choice though. It's my job.

By the way, what did the janitor say when he jumped out of the closet?

Supplies!

I can attest that this is true.
