Yes, the cast came off today. As the saw used is an oscillating cast saw (it vibrates the blade to not damage skin) it did tickle a bit meaning it took a little longer to cut off than planned.

So the plan for now is to wear my ortho boot for six weeks and, if insurance approves, see a physical therapist as well.

Sleeping was impossible for me last night so even though I'm glad to be rid of the cast and the walker, I'm not exactly ready to jump for joy.

Small steps ( literally) to recovery, Blue. Keep on being patient, and in no time you will be walking normally again.
