Another potential "star" has appeared for the Democratic Party....an outspoken man, with a smart azz, pugnacious demeanor, who considers himself a fighter.

“I think there’s a huge appetite within the party for a fighter," he said. "I think the party has yearned for a fighter — a fighter for good, if you will — for a significant period of time. And for many, I’m probably seen as that individual."

Sounds like the typical arrogant and "cocky" rhetoric, that we're used to hearing from this guy. The same guy who stated he would hand Trump "his ass" if he ever tried to go toe to toe with him on Twitter.

Michael Avenatti says President Trump has remained quiet on Twitter regarding his legal battle with his adult-film star client because he knows Avenatti would “hand him his ass.”

Stormy Daniels's lawyer said in an interview with Esquire released on Friday that Trump has refrained from tweeting directly at him because Trump "can’t handle a direct confrontation with me."

“He knows that I’ll hand him his ass,” Avenatti said.

Yet, even though his bravado "schtick" may seem intimidating to some, he appears to be another over sensitive Liberal, who gets mad and becomes threatening if someone criticizes him or his past.

after The Daily Caller published a critical piece, he threatened to sue the conservative site for defamation. “If you think I’m kidding, you really don’t know anything about me,” he wrote to the reporter in a Twitter message, which was denounced by other journalists. “This is the last warning.” For many people, it was the first time Avenatti’s hardball tactics had spilled into public view.

Then there's the issue with his integrity, which seems to have as many holes as a slice of Swiss cheese.

On a single day last week his law firm, Eagan Avenatti LLP, and a company he started were hit with back-to-back court judgments ordering them to repay millions of dollars in outstanding debts. In the past year alone, more than a dozen creditors—including a former colleague, a law firm and former landlords—have gone to court to collect millions of dollars more in debts they allege are owed them by Mr. Avenatti, his law practice or his corporate entities. Most of these cases remain open.

In those and other recent lawsuits, opposing litigants have raised questions about tactics used by Mr. Avenatti against adversaries, some of whom have voiced suspicions that he or entities he controls have manipulated the court process and played shell games with creditors.

Matter of fact, "The Creepy Porn Lawyer," refuses to go on Tucker Carlson's show unless his demands are met. Huh? Is it because he fears Tucker will humiliate him on national TV? The fact is, this guy is a coward and a liar, who claims FOX news doesn't want him as their guest...

Then there's speculation that he's in cahoots with The Deep State...

I think "Creepy Porn Lawyer" Avenatti fits right in with the other "potential" Democratic presidential candidates like, Elizabeth "Pocahontas" Warren, Bernie "The Socialist" Sanders and Joe "Wandering Hands" Biden. The 2020 Presidential Race is shaping up to be more entertaining than the 2016 race.

I don't like him, rubbed me wrong from day one. But...

a) Being "cocky" and "arrogant" is good, right? That's what got Donny elected. So, whoever likes it in one of them should be honest and support it in both.

b) He only represents a porn star because the President slept with one. One of them slept with one, the other one legally represented her. Which one is worse?

Nah, he is way too slimy even for the Progs to put up.

Keep an eye on John Hickenlooper the Governor of Colorado. He attended the latest Bilderburg meeting.

He is an arrogant ass. Something about him does not sit well with me.

As far as the "Q", "deep state" nonsense...

Sure. He's tight with the deep state. That's why he is representing washed up porn stars.

He doesn't seem to realize they're all done with him now.

How do you know he hasn’t slept with her as well as legally defend her. She did file for a divorce recently.. so who knows the real truth behind their relationship.

What party banner would he run under? I highly doubt the Dem's would want him or that he could even survive the early stages of the primary battle.

That he is corrupt is evident.

In 2013 Avenatti formed a company, Global Baristas, to buy Seattle-based Tully's Coffee out of bankruptcy.[39] Avenatti first formed a partnership with actor Patrick Dempsey, but Dempsey later backed away from the venture after a short legal battle that resulted in a settlement.[40] Since 2015, Global Baristas has been named in more than 50 lawsuits in state and federal courts for breach of contract, unpaid bills, and unpaid taxes.

In 2017, a Florida man named Gerald Tobin alleged Avenatti failed to pay him $28,700 for private investigatory work. As a result, Avenatti's firm was abruptly forced into bankruptcy.[45] In various news reports, including work done by CNN, Tobin was found to be an ex-con with four decades of convictions and jail time and not a licensed investigator. Tobin's claim forced Avenatti into bankruptcy which caused Avenatti to cancel a deposition in an unrelated lawsuit days later, raising the question of collusion between Avenatti and Tobin. The issue was resolved when the pair entered into a Non-Disclosure Agreement, and Avenatti paid Tobin the $28,700.

In 2018, Avenatti's law firm was subjected to a $10 million judgment in U.S. bankruptcy court.[46] Avenatti has also defaulted on a $440,000 judgment in back taxes, penalties, and interest that he was personally obligated to pay under another bankruptcy settlement. The U.S. Attorney's office asserted in court that a motion seeking payment would soon be filed against Avenatti.[46] Eagan Avenatti had been in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings and, in December 2017, had agreed to pay $4.8 million in unpaid fees to a former partner, $2 million in back taxes, and $1 million to other creditors.[47] In June 2018, the former partner filed a motion in U.S. bankruptcy court asking for a lien on any and all legal fees Avenatti's firm might collect, up to $10 million, from clients in 54 cases including his representation of Stormy Daniels

He's not running, he's just a publicity whore.

Are you saying that you know he did?

Unless you do and have proof, it's conjecture, I suggest we don't speculate. We know DJT did sleep with her for a fact and paid her off. We also know Avenatti is her legal representation. Anything beyond that is FOX and CNN material.

Trump supporters are an odd lot. They love Trump for his arrogance and cocky demeanor, they couldn't care a less about his decades of shady dealings, they're unphazed by the fact he cheated on his pregnant wife with porn stars but they they get all pearl clutchy and starting going off about the "arrogant" and "cocky" guy who probably has "shady dealings" and is a "porn lawyer."

Give it a rest.

Nothing you're dinging Avenatti for is anything that you actually care about. It's fake af and everyone knows it.

That said, the last thing the Democrats need to do is to go all Trumpian with Avenatti.

Well, since Trump was elected we have fully entered the era where personal and professional ethics do not matter, so by that standard all of the gossip about Avenatti is irrelevant. Also would have to see what is actually true about him in this regard... a lot of the negative stuff presented so far sounds a lot like the garbage the right wing tried to dredge up against Obama, of which 99+% was pure BS. So more research required on that. Need to find the real truth, not what the right wing presents. Granted those may overlap sometimes, even the nut jobs tell the truth sometimes.

Have to see where he stands on the issues that matter (anybody remember THAT approach?), but the right wing is clearly frightened of the guy, which is a major plus. He is worth considering. Again, based on his stance on, you know, ISSUES.

He may be an arrogant prick. I don't care. I don't care that Trump is an arrogant prick, either. There are plenty of substantive reasons to oppose Trump, his arrogant prickishness is irrelevant.
