They are staying out of those companies' business. No government entity has forced Twitter, Facebook, Apple, or any other social media platform to do anything.
The operators of social networks that are subject to the law now have to delete “obviously illegal” content within 24 hours of being notified. Other illegal content must be reviewed by social networks within seven days of being reported and then deleted. If the complaint management requirements are not met, fines of up to 50 million euros may be imposed. This puts companies under tremendous time pressure to check reported content.
Bet you'd love a Communist China model in the USA.

That is Germany's problem. I live in the US and the social media companies in question here are also located here. So we are talking about US law. Germany didn't force Apple to remove AJ's podcasts so this point you made here is irrelevant.

Sorry but the US isn't the only country with "government entities". Facebook is liable for someone else's hate speech, thank you to government intervention. Germany is threatening social media companies with massive fines to remove what they deem as illegal content. That's not the free market.

There is no such thing as a free market.

Germany has banned hate speech in its country since the 1940s and end of Nazi Germany. If this is suddenly a HUGE issue to you because of this jackhole then I'd say you aren't paying attention well enough.
Volksverhetzung, (the official English translation of the German Criminal Code uses "incitement to hatred"[1][2]), is a concept in German criminal law that refers to incitement to hatred against segments of the population and refers to calls for violent or arbitrary measures against them, including assaults against the human dignity of others by insulting, maliciously maligning, or defaming segments of the population.[1][2][3]

Well Facebook has to navigate international laws then. That is their own issue. But you can't force another country to honor this crazy idea of free speech that you have in your head.

Network Enforcement Act came into effect of Jan this year.
Facebook has over 2 billion users, nearly a quarter of the planet, but you just tried to reduce it to the US only and subject only to US laws. I don't think you're pay attention enough.

I think like all on the left he just repeats what the ladies on The View say. Not much thought goes into it.

I've already exercised my freedoms by moving to platforms that are free speech platforms like SteemIt. Maybe you'd like to join me there.
