And there is Kim Jong Nam, the half brother who was supposedly assassinated for the same thing Kim Jong Un is trying to accomplish the same thing as Kim Jong Un.

Kim Jong Nam was the oldest son of Kim Jong Il, who ruled North Korea for 17 years. He was considered heir apparent to his father until around 2001. He fell out of favor after he embarrassed the regime by attempting to visit Tokyo Disneyland in Japan using a false passport. Kim, however, said he was pushed aside after advocating reform of the reclusive regime.

Whether a CIA puppet or KGB/FSB puppet, it is an unusual situation dating back to the first supreme leader. Granted, Kim Il-Sung was born in NoKo, but was exiled to Russia during Japanese occupation. If you were not aware, Kim Il-Sung "commanded the 1st Battalion of the Soviet 88th Brigade." He was selected to be the leader by Russia, during the cold war. All things considered the government in NoKo is not genuine. Russia had little to offer beyond military support. I wouldn't be surprised if the CIA attempted to compromise this regime with bribes or weapons and there is evidence of several failed coup which I would be astonished to find the CIA did not spearhead if it's a Soviet puppet show.

Since many activist/investigators/journalist have
suspiciously died after divulging information,
don't expect those still breathing to assuage
anyone's curiosity.

I think the proof is in the observations of whats going on and how it goes on. The discerning observer can see that things are not as the media portray them to be.

It doesn't make any sense - like when NK was shooting all those missile tests. They are a vulnerable country. Why would you shoot missiles over Japan to piss people off. It is not a smart geo-political move, and I think they were indeed a sovereign nation, they would not go about things like that. I suspect as usual, the propping up of - 'the bad guy'. Bad guys are very useful and profitable to the secret (almost) world gov't.
