The Spanish Republic was a combination of communism and anarcho-syndicalism, but it was still a republic.

Your argument is more likely able to address the actual cronyism in the Brave New Oligarchy, which is a real violation of the republican tradition.

You still can't inflict a communist government on the United States, not even peacefully. Its unlawful. Article 4 Section 4, Constitutionally mandates a Republican form of government. Not the GOP, but Republican as in a "Republic"
